(Fireworks go off loudly as My Way by Limp Bizkit blasts through the arena.)
JR: Welcome everyone to the sold out Monster Dome at the heart of St Louis. You can feel the excitement in the air as tonight marks our very first show.
PH: That’s right JR,this is gonna be great!!!
JR: Without a doubt,Paul. Now we cross live to the Coach.
Backstage with the Coach
Coach: Thanks JR, I am standing by with the man himself, The Rock who later tonight will take on Shawn Michaels for the first time ever. Well Rock, any thoughts?
Rock: Who is my opponent here tonight, Coach?
Coach: Shawn Mich….
Rock: It doesn’t matter who the Rock is facing. It makes no difference but what does matter is that I do this for the millions and millions of The Rock’s fans. Don’t get me wrong though, I have high respect for HBK and even though he’s a magnificent athlete… He’s just not the trail blazin’, eyebrow raisin’, jabroni beating…… pie eating, all around smack it down, People’s Champ. The Rock. If Ya Smelllllllll What The Rock is Cooking!!!
(Raises eyebrow and leaves)
Chavo Guerrero vs. Edge
‘Chavo Ardiente’ plays as Chavo walks out to a massive pop. He enters the ring and gets ready.
Tony Chimel: In the ring from El Paso, Texas. Weighing in at 235 lbs. Chavo Guerrero.
‘Mettalingus’ hit’s the speakers as Edge comes out to a loud boo.
Tony Chimel: And his opponent from Toronto, Canada. Weighing in at 250 lbs. Edge.
Edge slides into the ring and stares at Chavo.
(Bell Rings)
The match starts with a collar and elbow tie up as both men try to gain the advantage. Edge overpowers Chavo and sends him crashing to the mat. Edge picks him up and beats down on him with a series of right hands. Chavo is whipped into the ropes and back body dropped onto the mat below. Edge taunts at the crowd and gets booed. Edge gets Chavo in a headlock and applies the pressure.
JR: Chavo may be out here.
The referee lifts Chavo’s arm and it drops down for 1 and then 2. However Chavo manages to keep his arm up before the 3 and begins the power out. He suplexs Edge and begins to stomp on him. He then DDTs Edge and hit’s the Three Amigos.
JR: Edge is out of this.
PH: Chavo’s going to the top.
Chavo goes for the frog splash but misses when Edge moves out of the way.
JR: Bah Gawd, Edge moved Chavo could be broken in half here.
Edge hit’s the spear on Chavo and gets a 2 count. He gets frustrated and slides out of the ring to get a chair. He throws it into the ring causing the ref to remove it. As the referee is doing this Carlito and Christian run down to the ring. Christian hits Chavo with the unprettier and waits outside the ring. Edge pins Chavo as the referee counts the three.
JR: What the hell was that?
PH: Edge just needed a little assistance.
JR: That’s cheating if you ask me.
Tony Chimel: Here is your winner: Edge!!!
Edge, Christian and Carlito stand in the middle of the ring as Christian begins to talk.
Christian: People of St Louis, what you have just witnessed is the beginning of The Charismatics. An elite group of the best wrestlers in the WWF consisting of me, Edge and Carlito and as you can see we have made quite an impact here tonight but it doesn’t end here. We won’t stop until we get gold around our waists.
JR: This is disgusting.
PH: I’m not sure J.R. I’ve got another surprise for ya.
Edge: And one last final surprise, may we introduce our manager. He is the creator of ECW and our number 1 commentator. Mr Paul Heyman.
JR: What the hell, Paul!!!
PH: Yes, that’s right J.R
Heyman goes into the ring and celebrates with the group.
Carlito: Now dats cool!!.
(Break)
Submission Rules Match: Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart.
Kurt Angle’s music plays as he walks out to a mixed reception.
Tony Chimel: The following contest is a Submission Rules Match. Introducing first. From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Weighing in at 232 lbs. Kurt Angle.
‘Enter The Hitman’ plays as Bret Hart walks out to a standing ovation. He tags hands with the crowd and enters the ring.
Tony Chimel: and in the ring. From Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart.
(Bell Rings)
The two jostle for control as they lock up in the centre of the ring. Kurt then pokes Bret in the eye to a loud boo from the crowd and knocks Bret down. He then hit’s a delayed vertical suplex and locks in a fujiwara armbar.
JR: Bret might tap early here.
Bret eventually fights his way out and lands Angle with a hiptoss. He then dropkicks a vulnerable Kurt, who is on his knees. Bret knocks Angle down with continuous clotheslines until Angle gets the drop toe hold. Angle goes for the camel clutch and locks it in tightly.
The Ref asks Bret if he gives up but Bret shakes his head and powers out and locks Angle in a sleeper which he fights out of. Both men then separate to either side of the ring. They both clothesline each other and lie knocked out on the mat.
JR: What a match, it’ll continue after the break.
(Break)
Angle is now in control as we rejoin the match. He hits his patented German suplexes and goes for the Ankle lock.
PH: This is gonna be over.
Bret kicks himself free and kicks Angle into the ref. Bret low blows Angle and hits him with a inziguri. He locks in the sharpshooter but the referee is out. Angle taps out but the ref is still out.
JR: angle tapped bah gawd but the ref is down.
PH: Well Bret should have thought of that before he knocked him down.
JR: It was accidental Paul. You’re really annoying me today.
Bret breaks the hold and stamps on Angle. All of a sudden Angle grabs Bret’s ankle and locks in the Ankle Lock again. The ref revives himself just as Bret grabs the ropes and Angle is forced to break the hold.
Angle goes for the Angle Slam but Bret reverses it in mid air to a reverse DDT.
JR: Bret’s going for the sharpshooter.
PH: Will Angle tap?
Angle grabs the ropes and Bret breaks the hold. He argues with the ref in the middle of the ring when Angle dropkicks him on the back causing him to run into the turnbuckle. Angle nips up and hit’s the Angle Slam. He locks in the Ankle Lock and Bret taps.
JR: Oh my god. Bret tapped!! What a Match!!
PH: That was a definite Match of the Year candidate.
Tony Chimel: Here is your winner: Kurt Angle!!!
‘ Burn Inside My Light’ plays as Randy Orton struts arrogantly to the ring. He is cheered by some. Booed by most.
Orton: Tonight is a historic night. It signals the start of the ‘Legend Killer Challenge’. In which I will ask any washed up old legend out there, whether their sitting in the back or at home thinking of that time when they used to be great. Absolutely anyone at all.
JR: This is hideous, a total lack of respect from Orton.
PH: So, the kid’s cocky. If you had his looks and wrestled like him, you’d be the same.
Orton: I can 100 percent guarantee that no one will beat me.
‘Real American’ plays as the crowd goes wild and Hulk Hogan walks out and poses.
Hogan: Well you know something, Randy. I’m kind of considered of a legend around here. (Loud Cheer) and nothing would please me more than beating your ass right here tonight, brotha. Watcha Gonna do, Randy Orton, when Hulk Hogan, the 24 inch pythons and Hulkamania runs wild on you!!
Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton
JR: A bit of an impromptu match we have here folks.
Hogan starts immediately as he knocks Orton down with a hard clothesline and begins to stomp on him. . He holds Orton above his head and drops him with a gorilla press slam. Orton then walks into a big boot.
JR: This one’s over already.
Hogan hit’s the leg drop with devastating effect. He covers and breaks when he gets a 2 count. The crowd boos.
JR: what does Hogan have in mind here?
PH: He wants to teach Orton a lesson.
JR: This could be a big mistake.
Hogan goes to pick Orton up but receives an eye gouge and suffers a dropkick. Orton hits two uppercuts and a cross body before covering for a 2 count.
JR: Orton clearly frustrated here.
In his frustration Orton removes a turnbuckle cover causing the referee to go and fix it. Orton hit’s a low blow and then RKOs Hogan. The ref turns round and counts the three.
Tony Chimel: Here is your winner: Randy Orton.
JR: Orton cheated that’s not fair.
PH: What a killing Orton has performed!

Backstage with the Coach
Coach: I am now joined by HBK Shawn Michaels who is just an hour away from facing The Rock for the first time ever in any promotion.
HBK: Well I can’t wait for this Coach. This is gonna be big. Two of the best in ring performers of all time squaring off for the first time ever.
Coach: How do you rate your chances of winning?
HBK: Well Coach I’m not sure, maybe some quotes will help us.
Quoted from JR: Nobody has ever out performed Shawn Michaels in a big match situation.
Quoted from a young Shawn Michaels: I can give you a show that you have never, ever seen before, why?, because I can.

Chris Benoit vs. Rey Mysterio
‘Whatever’ hit’s the speakers as Benoit walks out to a hyped up crowd.
Tony Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Weighing in at 235 lbs. Chris Benoit.
‘Booyaka’ plays as Rey Mysterio walks out to a mixed reception.
Tony Chimel: And his opponent, from San Diego, California. Rey Mysterio.
(Bell Rings)
Mysterio and Benoit shake hands as the match gets underway. Mysterio then moves away and stares out Benoit. Mysterio then goes for the baseball slide and hits a bulldog and a dropkick. He then performs some arm drags and knocks Benoit over the top rope.
JR: Mysterios in control here.
Mysterio goes for a suicide dive and connects as the crowd go wild.
PH: That was extreme!!
(Break)
Benoit is now in control as he chops Mysterio to a loud wooing sound. Benoit then hit’s a neck breaker. He then lands multiple German suplexes and signals a diving head butt.
PH: Benoit going up.
Benoit attempts the head butt but Mysterio moves out of the way and after a long period gets up first. Mysterio attempts a suplex but cannot lift Benoit. Benoit then tries a clothesline but Mysterio ducks and drop toe holds Benoit into the ropes.
PH: Mysterio dialling up.
Mysterio connects with the 619 and goes for the seated senton but is caught in mid air by Benoit who throws him back with a vicious German and locks in the crossface. Mysterio then taps and the ref calls for the bell but Benoit doesn’t let go. Mysterio continues to tap but Benoit doesn’t let go. After a while Benoit is pulled off by officials and hauled away.
JR: What a sadistic act by Benoit, Mysterios neck may be broken.
PH: That’s the old Benoit, Toothless Aggression is back!!
Mysterio is stretchered out of the ring as the adverts begin to roll.
(Break)
JR: Welcome back, Ladies and Gentlemen and we have just received word that Rey Mysterio has a severely damaged arm and a severely damaged neck. Thanks to that low life called Chris Benoit.
PH: Keep your hat on, JR. Benoit was just showing some aggression for once.
JR: Paul, I have seen Benoit in many great matches and used to have a lot of respect for him but tonight he crossed the line.
Backstage with the Coach
Coach: I am now joined by Chris Benoit. Chris, a simple question. Why did you do that to your good friend Rey Mysterio?
Benoit: Why did I do it Coach. I did it because I want a title shot and I want it now. I’ve just sent a message to Vince McMahon through Rey Mysterio and hopefully he’ll take notice. Finally I’ve made my nickname ‘The Crippler’ have some meaning.
(He leaves with a toothy grin)
WWF Title Match: The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels
Tony Chimel: Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now time for the Main event and it is for the vacant WWF Title.
‘If Ya Smelllllll’ is heard and the crowd goes wild.
Tony Chimel: Introducing first, from Miami, Florida. Weighing in at 275 lbs. The Rock.
The Rock looks around and walks to the ring he stands on the ropes and does his usual pose. He then steps down into the ring and waits.
‘Sexy Boy’ plays as Shawn Michaels jogs out to a massive pop he kneels down and his pyro goes off.
Tony Chimel: And his opponent, from San Antonio, Texas. The Heartbreak Kid. Shawn Michaels. The fans cheer as he steps into the ring.
The Rock gets right in his face and Shawn returns the favour as the two stare each other down.
(Bell Rings)
The Rock wins the test of strength and gains the advantage and knocks HBK down with a forearm. The crowd claps loudly as the two stare each other down again. HBK slaps Rock from out of no where. The Rock then hit’s a clothesline and hits some right hands. He hit’s a snap suplex and continues to beat down on HBK. He takes a break and starts the assault again. HBK grabs his leg and gets Rock in a small package. He gets a two count.
JR: HBK surprised Rocky there.
PH: Damn right, he did!
HBK goes on the assault with straight rights and lefts and whips The Rock into the ropes. He hits the back body drop. He then applies a small bar armbar and adds pressure.
JR: The Rock may tap here.
The Rock fights out only to be dropkicked. HBK then locks in a headlock. Rock quickly fights out and hits a DDT as ‘Rocky’ chants echo through the arena.
(Break)
HBK is again in control as he hits an atomic drop and goes for Sweet Chin Music but Rock grabs his foot and locks in the sharpshooter.
PH: I bet Bret hart fans will love this.
JR: Especially if HBK taps.
The Rock adds more pressure as HBK reaches for the ropes. He reaches them but The Rock pulls him back into the middle of the ring. Minutes pass but HBK gets to the ropes again and Rock is forced to break the hold. Rock is frustrated and argues with the ref. He turns round and his met with Sweet Chin Music. Michaels crawls over Rock but only gets a two count.
JR: How the hell did Rock kick out?
HBK goes for another but he Rock ducks and hit’s the Rock Bottom as both men lay exhausted on the canvas.
(Break)
The Rock is now in control. He hit’s a power slam and then a Samoan drop. He goes to pick HBK up but gets kicked in the face. Michaels gets to his feet and nails a flying forearm.
He the tunes up the band for Sweet Chin Music. The Rock ducks under and then hit’s a standing spine buster. He then goes for the People’s Elbow and gets the three.
Tony Chimel: Here is your winner and new WWF Champion: The Rock.
JR: What a slobber knocker with Rock coming out on top.
PH: That’s one for the ages JR.
The Rock is presented with the belt. HBK offers his hand and The Rock shakes it. HBK taps the belt which is on the Rock’s shoulders and raises his hand in victory before he leaves the ring to The Rock. The Rock celebrates as Darkness comes to a close.

JR: Welcome back, Ladies and Gentlemen and we have just received word that Rey Mysterio has a severely damaged arm and a severely damaged neck. Thanks to that low life called Chris Benoit.
PH: Keep your hat on, JR. Benoit was just showing some aggression for once.
JR: Paul, I have seen Benoit in many great matches and used to have a lot of respect for him but tonight he crossed the line.
Backstage with the Coach
Coach: I am now joined by Chris Benoit. Chris, a simple question. Why did you do that to your good friend Rey Mysterio?
Benoit: Why did I do it Coach. I did it because I want a title shot and I want it now. I’ve just sent a message to Vince McMahon through Rey Mysterio and hopefully he’ll take notice. Finally I’ve made my nickname ‘The Crippler’ have some meaning.
(He leaves with a toothy grin)
WWF Title Match: The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels
Tony Chimel: Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now time for the Main event and it is for the vacant WWF Title.
‘If Ya Smelllllll’ is heard and the crowd goes wild.
Tony Chimel: Introducing first, from Miami, Florida. Weighing in at 275 lbs. The Rock.
The Rock looks around and walks to the ring he stands on the ropes and does his usual pose. He then steps down into the ring and waits.
‘Sexy Boy’ plays as Shawn Michaels jogs out to a massive pop he kneels down and his pyro goes off.
Tony Chimel: And his opponent, from San Antonio, Texas. The Heartbreak Kid. Shawn Michaels. The fans cheer as he steps into the ring.
The Rock gets right in his face and Shawn returns the favour as the two stare each other down.
(Bell Rings)
The Rock wins the test of strength and gains the advantage and knocks HBK down with a forearm. The crowd claps loudly as the two stare each other down again. HBK slaps Rock from out of no where. The Rock then hit’s a clothesline and hits some right hands. He hit’s a snap suplex and continues to beat down on HBK. He takes a break and starts the assault again. HBK grabs his leg and gets Rock in a small package. He gets a two count.
JR: HBK surprised Rocky there.
PH: Damn right, he did!
HBK goes on the assault with straight rights and lefts and whips The Rock into the ropes. He hits the back body drop. He then applies a small bar armbar and adds pressure.
JR: The Rock may tap here.
The Rock fights out only to be dropkicked. HBK then locks in a headlock. Rock quickly fights out and hits a DDT as ‘Rocky’ chants echo through the arena.
(Break)
HBK is again in control as he hits an atomic drop and goes for Sweet Chin Music but Rock grabs his foot and locks in the sharpshooter.
PH: I bet Bret hart fans will love this.
JR: Especially if HBK taps.
The Rock adds more pressure as HBK reaches for the ropes. He reaches them but The Rock pulls him back into the middle of the ring. Minutes pass but HBK gets to the ropes again and Rock is forced to break the hold. Rock is frustrated and argues with the ref. He turns round and his met with Sweet Chin Music. Michaels crawls over Rock but only gets a two count.
JR: How the hell did Rock kick out?
HBK goes for another but he Rock ducks and hit’s the Rock Bottom as both men lay exhausted on the canvas.
(Break)
The Rock is now in control. He hit’s a power slam and then a Samoan drop. He goes to pick HBK up but gets kicked in the face. Michaels gets to his feet and nails a flying forearm.
He the tunes up the band for Sweet Chin Music. The Rock ducks under and then hit’s a standing spine buster. He then goes for the People’s Elbow and gets the three.
Tony Chimel: Here is your winner and new WWF Champion: The Rock.
JR: What a slobber knocker with Rock coming out on top.
PH: That’s one for the ages JR.
The Rock is presented with the belt. HBK offers his hand and The Rock shakes it. HBK taps the belt which is on the Rock’s shoulders and raises his hand in victory before he leaves the ring to The Rock. The Rock celebrates as Darkness comes to a close.
