Where did this load of bullcrap come from? It came from out of nowhere and it won't go away. This has as much credibility as people trying to say there's no such thing as a push. People wanting dbry as whc is silly, because hes ic win means more, because he hasn't held it before. Its a NEW opportunity for him, not a repeat of the past. Because Austin should have won the euro title at wm17 instead of the world title. Would have been a new opportunity for him... |

Yes he is INSANELY talented, but why does the whc have to define how good you are, its the iwc and this forum that openly and passionately say the championships are props and meaningless yet clammer for dbry to have the best one cause another one isnt good enough? Between the ic and wwe/whc, the ic has been held by, more, better, wrestlers, yet dbry is above that? You're all then spitting in the face of the ic legends legacys with that logic. |

Kurt Angle, John Cena, Orton, Rey Mysterio, Batista, Triple H, and many more have had more broken necks, bones, torn muscles, and other problems than you can think of. Hell, Shawn Michaels broke his back and wrestled for another 8 years.
I don't buy it.

I think there are a few reasons he's the IC champ right now, and not the world champ:
1) He remains an underdog who we'll continue to freak out for and buy his merch to try to "send a message" to WWE about how much we love him.
2) He's enjoying the success of being a champion so we aren't revolting against the company like we did in 2014.
3) They genuinely want to raise the profile of the IC championship (just like giving the US title to Cena)
4) They really don't want to admit that they're wrong about him.

Cena Is the face of the company but to say Bryan doesn't draw fans is simply not true. He was a top merchandise seller in 2013/14 and his yes chant is the most over chant in the wwe since Austin's what chant. The guy can draw but when compared to cena of course nobody currently draws like him since the wwe won't let anyone get near his level. |

Punk did nothing for ratings or tickets but he sold impressive amounts of merchandise. So far, Bryan hasn't even done that. But the point remains that even if he had, it's senseless complaining that they're throwing money away by putting a midcard title on him when Cena, the guy who actually does make them lots of money, has one too -- that means those titles are now intended to bring in money in high-profile positions. The midcard titles are on top guys now, and can main event TV and house shows. Different ballgame to when Cesaro and Santino were fighting over them on PPV pre-shows. |

Petty jealousy... they didn't get fully behind Bryan (WM30 notwithstanding) because he got over on his own. There is absolutely nothing more to it than that.

The arenas dont seem as behind Bryan as they were a year ago. I dont know if his merch sales reflect this. But I think it'll be a while before Bryan makes the transition to world champion status again, if ever.
I don't think WWE have anything against him. They're gonna back whoever is making them the most money, I can understand their trepidation about putting their a prize back around the waist of Bryan so soon after potentially career ending injuries.

Look at old footage every person in the building is on their feet during Bryans enterance, newer footage and there's certainly a lot less people yesing. I doubt WWE are sabotaging Bryan. |

The bolded part is exactly my point. The fans' more tempered reactions to him are a result of Vince booking him weakly upon his return. Bryan was getting nuclear pops all the way until and including the Rumble (despite a shockingly stupid loss to Bray Wyatt) and the fans absolutely rejected everything that followed his elimination. Then Reigns shrugs off all of his offense and basically beats him with one move at Fastlane. Then he does two jobs, no ifs ands or buts about it, in the center of the ring, to Ziggler. And tonight, he wasn't used and was barely mentioned. WWE is doing everything they can to drop him down a tier so their chosen guys (specifically Reigns and Cena) don't lose their pops. And both of those guys still get about 30% boos every time they come out. It's surprising to me that Bryan has remained as over as he has. |
