Apparently word going around backstage is that the WWE actually don't have a problem with Daniel Bryan as a main eventer, but they didn't want to put him in the main event because of their concerns about his long term health. Do you buy this? I for one don't, I mean if you were that concerned about his health why put him in the most dangerous match on the card?

Concerns about him getting injured again, which is why they wouldn't give him the belt again? Makes perfect sense.
Putting him into the spotfest ladder match that usually involves a bunch of crazy bumps.....yeah I dunno what they were thinking there

Sell
He's in a ladder match so they're like "he's healthy". plus he hasn't changed his style. He's not in the main event because I guess they feel he shouldn't be the guy.

A multi person match allows Bryan to do minimal work, take less bumps etc, whereas a match with Brock is going to be 100% physical.

This guy has had one major injury his whole career. Cena, Michaels, HHH, Batista, Hogan, and Orton have been so much more injury prone. How many main-events have those guys had? I call BS.

Imagine if Lesnar by accident gave Bryan another concussion, that would be the end of his career maybe. Would that make people feel better? It wouldn't make me feel better, it's better to be safe then to be sorry.

Not that I agree with their excuse but Daniel Bryans one injury was a VERY serious injury especially since he went on with it for almost a year before he got surgery. He lost all feeling in his arms in a match with Randy Orton in 2013 and it continually got worse. There was a good chance Daniel was NEVER coming back. He got lucky.

Edge and Austin also had severe neck injuries. Austin never wrestled the same after his and it was before he even hit the main event. Bryan's going at 100% right now.

Sell.
They're concerned about his health... but put him in a LADDER MATCH?
Yep... seems logical.

Batista was out an entire year.. HHH Injured his quad like 3 times. Orton was out several times with shoulder problems. Cena has been injured and out for a few months on several accounts as well

I'm sure they don't have a problem with Bryan as a Main Eventer. They didn't book Brock vs Roman out of spite to Bryan or the internet fans. They planned it a year in advance and they stuck to the plan. Simple as that. People keep saying we should have had the David vs Goliath match, but had Bryan not been hurt, we would have had it at SummerSlam. All WWE did was put Cena in Bryan's place, and they got back on track.
Adding him to a ladder match may sound like an odd decision, but he'll be in there with several great talents. All of whom will do their part to steal the show. And all will do their part to be as safe as possible. Sounds like a hell of a consolation prize.

Daniel bryan last year defeated HHH,Batista and Orton that officially put himself as a Main Eventer. He is indeed a Main Eventer he is now in the ranks of cena, orton,Batista main eventer. And now its Romans turn he NEEDS this win to officially put him up there as a main eventer and him beating lesnar is the perfect opportunity.Bryan doesn't need to beat brock lesnar to prove anything at this point.

You need to look at it from WWE's point of view. They give him a slow build up from Summerslam and then he had the biggest win of his career at WM 30 being defeated Evolution and winning the WWE title and then he gets injured so all of that came to a waste.
It wasn't his fault his neck needed surgery but he unintentionally let the company down so you can hardly blame them for keeping down the card.
Also maybe Daniel Bryan doesn't want another main event push so soon after his injury.

Then I look at Edge and he won the MITB and WWE Title not long after so eh.

maybe they put him in the match to prove he is healthy. and i am sure they see him as a main eventer just not the top guy they want to build their company around. im a fan and will say while edge was a main eventer that won multiple titles, he was never the face of the company cena was.

He's not healthy enough to be a main eventer but he's healthy enough to be in a ladder match?
Nah.

Total BS and I don't buy it especially when they made Punk wrestle even though he was injured.

WWE aren't thinking what's best for Daniel Bryans health, they're thinking what's safe for the main event scene. They consider Bryan injury prone now, and they don't want to take the risk of him getting injured once he's a big time main eventer again. So they do the safer thing for them and put him in the midcard. That's safe for THEM. They don't actually give a about Bryans health personally, they're only thinking for the company Come on people, it's the WWE...

Seeing as that was his first major injury in 15 years of wrestling, I think he will be okay.
