They should have mentioned he was the originator of the move while he has been teasing it on TV. That way when he finally hits it people go nuts

that was great, but its more about the guy selling it too....lets see him hit it like that on Harper or Ryback or Wade Barrett... that also being said, didn't Punk say that he used that move as a "tribute" anyway. pretty sure back in 2006 not a single soul walking this earth could have predicted Itami coming to the WWE, and lets be realistic here PLENTY of finishing moves have been duplicated over the years. Punk actually modified it, Punk alot of the time tried to hit guys in the HEAD with his kee, Itami does it more to the body so the guy doesn't have to try and sell his head by falling back immediately this is a perfect example when he throws HHH up, HHH tries to land on his feet so he can take the knee to his face/head area. so Punk has to lift his knee higher and it didn't always work out the best. it's still a good move and if the right guys take it the right way Itami could use that to his advantage. Just wonder how much comparison it will get to Punk instead...because i dont recall anyone ever talking about Itami (KENTA) when Punk was doing his version It's a wrestling move done differently by two wrestlers... No need for a random megapost.

I've never been a fan of the move, but why is everyone hating on Punk? Depending on who took the move, there's really not a whole lot of difference. Hating on Punk is the cool thing to do now. Anyway, like you said, it's not that much different really - and if the recipient can't sell it properly, then it's going to look bad regardless. It's a wrestling move done differently by two wrestlers... No need for a random megapost. No need for you to make this post, either.
