The Rules to W4R!
4 combatants face off inside the 8-sided Octogon ring, and may tag out at any time to any of the 2 standing on the ring aprin (four corner rules).
Each contest consists of 3 Rounds (the winners of Rounds 1 & 2 go into singles competition in Round 3; however if the same individual wins Rounds 1 & 2, there is no Round 3 and they are declaired the Winner Overall). Each Round has a 10min time limit. Round 3 is a 5min time limit.
If a Round goes the full time limit, there are 3 judges ringside that factor 1) Ability, 2) Strength, 3) Speed, 4) Aggressive (offense), 5) Countering (defense), 6) Overall Performance, and 7) Determination/Heart.
There are to be NO illegal tactics used (foreign objects, eye gauging, miniture joint manipulation, strike or kick to the groin, pulling tights during pinfall). This does include tossing your opposition over or threw the ropes.
The combatants MUST stay INSIDE the octogon ring at all times. If a concession or submission hold, the defender only has 3 attempts at grabbing rope saftey during the match. After 3, the rope break rule is inactive for the defender.
The ways to win are pinfall or submission. In the act of an illegal action, a disqualification will be issued to the offender, and the defender will win via DQ. The offender will be issued 1 more warning during their stay in W4R. If they perform a 2nd illegal act, they will be banned from participating in W4R.
And as the classic "Code of Honor" goes, a handshake amongst all 4 combatants is enforced before and after every match.
Here, our stars don't wrestle for money, fame, or even championship gold... they Wrestle 4 Respect!

Legendary commentator & former wrestler, Bob Roop welcomes us to Wrestle4Respect! Joining him is the lovely W4R superstar & only female athlete on the roster, Vertigo!
MATCH #1
Jay Briscoe vs. Matt Sydal vs. Josh Daniels vs. BJ Whitmer;
ROUND 1: This opening round is a hard hitter as we see 4 up and coming grapplers take pride in their craft to advance into the Winner's Square Challenge contest. However, this 1st round goes the full 10 min time limit. Judges rule in favor of Jay Briscoe for best performance overall.
WINNER: Jay Briscoe
--
ROUND 2: At 3:24 into our 2nd round, Sydal falls (literally) victom to a wicked brainbuster executed by Josh Daniels, cover 1-2-3!
WINNER: Josh Daniels
--
ROUND 3 (Briscoe vs. Daniels): The winner here moves up the rankings into the next time a WSC entrant is named. Knowing that, the 2 put on one hell of a display, and just as predicted, the 5 minute time limit expires. Judges rule in favor Jay Briscoe for most aggressivness and quicker speed.
WINNER: Jay Briscoe
--
WINNER OVERALL: Jay Briscoe
Roop & Vertigo comment how Briscoe is now injury-free, is all healed up and showing us a new found power of energy, as his profound victory this afternoon is well earned!
MLPW commercial: The Mighty Robus achived his lifelong dream and has become the NEW Heavyweight World Champion . . . but who's gunning for him?! Tune in this thursday, LIVE only on ESPN2!
Video look at Nathan Arnold Charging, winning the previous 2 Winners Square Challenges. ("Fire It Up" by Black Label Society), "When I walk down that isle, there's no such thing as mercy. And as I enter that octogon ring, my opponent can see in my eyes the dominating nature I posess. Just look at the liniage I come from... Ed Strangler Lewis, Lou Thesz, Bob Backlund, Dan Severn... It's all about Darwin's Theory. And now it's me earning respect and respect shall be mine!"
Roop & Vertigo touch on the topic of Rickey Reyes, apparently no longer with W4R, as he made his debut at MECW 30 on April 13th, signing the contract out from under a now injured Don Frye, and solidified his spot to become the #1 contender for the Global Heavyweight Championship. Vertigo expresses that Reyes took advantage of the opportunity that presented itself in front of him and you can't fault the guy for that. But he left W4R behind, W4R will carry on without 'The Rottweiler'.
MATCH #2 WINNERS SQUARE CHALLENGE entry match
John Walters vs. Nathan Arnold Charging vs. Benjamin Sailer vs. CW Anderson;
ROUND 1: Walters, Anderson, & Sailer actually avoid from tagging in Charging into this contest... Charging refuses to inject himself on the fact he'd be DQ'ed. At 8:48 into our 1st round, CW lacks focus and trash talks Charging, when Walters schoolboys the former ECW alumni, 1-2-3!
WINNER: John Walters
--
ROUND 2: Charging tags CW on the back early on and refuses to tag out the duration of our 2nd round. Sailer & Walters are hesitant on stepping in the ring w/ the dominate W4R star and MMA competitor. Charging charges and takes down the smaller Sailer, who fights the offense with and enziguri, but that's not enough to take down his fellow ND native, as Charging locks in a modified ankle lock, grapevining the leg, before clinching both of Sailer's calves together and doing a double leg stretch while applying a bodyscissors, Ben has no other option but to tap at the 4:29 mark.
WINNER: Nathan Arnold Charging
--
ROUND 3 (Walters vs. Charging: Walters attacks Charging immediatly after the 2nd round, and pretty much gets the best of of Nathan throughout the 3rd round, ending in a time limit expiration. Judges rule in favor via split decision, to John Walters for most aggressivness.
WINNER: John Walters
--
WINNER OVERALL: John Walters (advancing into the Winners Square Challenge 3 competition)
-Nathan, looking steamed, walks up to John..... extending his hand out, shaking hands and raising John's hand in the air. Vertigo is shown smiling and clapping at her ex & former arch rival Charging.
Roop thanks the fans for tuning in this sunday afternoon here at the Taj Mahal to watch the exciting action of W4R: where are grapplers don't wrestle for money, fame, gold, or title belts ... they Wrestle4Respect!
