Does anyone else agree with this statement? I honestly believe that this is either the best or one of the best Mania cards ever despite the meh build up. I'd say it's up there with 17, 19, 20, 30 etc.
We got Lesnar/Reigns which could really go either way and a match that will probably be talked about for a long time if it turns out to be a great match which I think will happen due to the electric crowd and cos Lesnar resigned. Sting/HHH = two of the all time greats facing off in Stings debut WWE match. Cena/Rusev and Orton/Rollins is basically the present vs the future. Taker/Wyatt is basically one of the best from the past vs one of today's best talents. The IC Title match already looks good on paper because it's a Laddet match and features 7 talented individuals and the Divas tag match features the 4 top Divas in the company. The pre show is also stacked with two good matches.
Tbh I think that most of the matches will deliver and that this years Mania will end up being one of the best ever or at least one of the best in the past decade.

It really feels like a cluster  of a show will happen, but I think it'll be decent nonetheless. The show doesn't flow to me like WrestleMania 30 did last year, and none of it has gotten my attention like Daniel Bryan did last year. My expectations for it are low. |

I hope it's good. Don't get me wrong. I didnt take off work to watch a 4 hour wrestling show and WANT it to be bad.
However, on paper, it's a mess.

I haven't been this underwhelmed with the build to a Mania outside of 27. There are matches on the show that have potential to be great matches and seeing Sting's first WWE match is work the price alone but it just lacks in the feel of a Wrestlemania. Hopefully I'm wrong.

If you guys think it sounds bad on paper, you gotta believe that quality wise it'll be great right? Stings debut, great IC & US Title matches, Rollins in a top match, Wyatt in a top match etc. Sounds good to me.

Not even close. I'd even go as far as saying its one of the worst. This Mania is basically all thrown together matches that have almost no build whatsoever. The only match on the card that has ANY type of long build to it is Seth Rollins vs Orton. Let that sink in for a moment.

I have interest in the ladder match, Rollins/Orton, Sting/HHH and Roman/Brock. I expect the ladder match to be the best match, Rollins/Orton to tell the best story, Sting/HHH to be the most fun and Roman/Brock to be a hard hitting slug fest. I fully expect Brock to put Roman over HARD. Thats going to both include Reigns taking some of the best of Brock and Brock selling hard for Roman.

They've been building Sting/Triple H for about as long as they've been building Orton/Rollins. There has been build to the matches on the card it's just that there are matches like the ladder match where the build and hype videos just make me so ing mad at how stupid the build has been. |

Well, on paper, the card sounds better then WM30's IMO. It's not until you take into account the buildup. Ladder match buildup was terrible, UT/Wyatt buildup I actually enjoyed more then last years. Last year Taker stabbed Brock with a pen, made maybe one or two more appearances, and then they had the match. Least with Wyatt there are good promos, tho the absence of taker completely isn't too good. Sting vs Triple H has been alright, was pretty good until Sting didn't attack HHH on the go home show. Divas tag is standard, thrown together tag like many mania's prior. Can't do much in terms of buildup for the "Creative Has Nothing for You" battle royal. Rusev/Cena's buildup has been pretty good IMO. Randy vs Seth was pretty rushed. And Brock vs Roman is probably the worst built up.
Match wise, matches that will likely deliver:
Preshow thrown together tag match
Sting vs HHH
Cena vs Rusev
Orton vs Rollins
Ladder match
Matches that might be good:
Wyatt vs Taker
Reigns vs Lesnar
Andre battle royal
Matches that are likely going to be terrible:
Divas tag
