It's different for power lifters. You certainly couldn't see Earthquakes abs Nor could you feel your own jaw after John Tenta swatted you out of the Dohyo. He wasn't simply "Obese," he was a GIANT.I get your point, but John busted his ass to be good at what he did. Don't sell him short. ^ |

And i still remember some of his matches, he was awesome, I never denied that. It's just how can we say how amazing Mattels figures are if they only get it 2 thirds right? The figure is far to small round the middle, to get a characters weight/size to the right scale is pretty important in my eyes. The head = awesome The attire = pretty spot on Scale = all wrong, except maybe the height |

Mattel blew it and why didnt they add the red face ? Also like most mattel hes to skinny and by the way I like the Jakks one alot better not even close but then again I like a little larger than life look of the 80s WWF and by the way that DM hogan looks horrible almost greasy like that hardcore pawn guy . *sigh* Why do you even bother posting in the MATTEL forum, when all you do is constantly slag them off? I mean, that must be about the 30th time you've mentioned the DM Hogan... I'm beginning to think you're obsessed by it. If you dislike Mattel so much, then fine... just stick to the Jakks figures and forum, and leave us Mattel fans to enjoy their great figures in peace.  |

As I said many times before I love mattel for the Accessories and for fodder as my many many photos show but if this is about your issue that mattel will never give you 1/2 of the Jakks CS roster then Im out thats your own problem brother ! By looking at your pic you've kinda proven what every Mattel figure collector has been saying. Sure the Andre in your pic is bigger then Hogan...but the Mattel counterparts are also. The problem comes with Piper, Hogan, Orton all being the same height. Hogan and his 24" Pythons and Orton with his 24" pythons. As an Old schooler, I love the roster that JAKKS gave us, but their product is outdated....even towards the end of their contracts. |

I think the Jakks Earthquake has warped everyone's mind as to what kind of figure Earthquake should have.
I think it's pretty good. He wasn't as big as yokozuna and probably as big as Bundy. I hope they release a Typhoon or Tugboat using the same body scan.

Hi Nivro well Ill have to disagree with you on Jakks as its just all about preference but to answer your claim I can now mod ANY Jakks/Mattel figure to any height with my new all natural leg mod pp but once again I only have issue with real obvious Jakks flaws like Managers / referees , announcers and of course the biggest Flaw the Giant John Studd the only true Giant of Professional wrestling ! While I agree mattel doesnt have these height scale issues with refs , managers and announcers mainly because they dont have any of those figures either and probably wont ever ! But heres a few pics and I can make Hogan/Andre anyone taller or shorter and on and on but little stuff doesnt bother me especially when shooting as height isnt a issue on close ones like Bulldogs or Beefcake and Valentine but thats just me and thats a old pic as I actually have Andre shorter and neck lower. Back on topic as many have mentioned its actually Earthquakes face that is the true flaw in this figure as his eyes are way to wide and how did they miss the red on the face and that may have even covered up the too wide eyes but maybe it will be fixed before sale ? and thanks for not being childish and making this mattel vs Jakks as Im just going off of what mattel has done nothing more nothing less so can we please just leave this thread on the Mattel Earthquake figure discussion as the more CS wrestling figures we get the better !   |
