take this for what you will...BUT
it does kind of explain some things...namely, why Bryan has barely been on TV
Daniel Bryan Update
According to Dave Meltzer, Bryan is "not doing good" and has been hidden in tag matches and backstage segments as a result. Meltzer also stated he would not be shocked if Bryan dropped the IC Title soon due to being in rough shape.

Do we think Bryan needs to stop taking "neck bumps" like, today. Maybe he came back too soon? Maybe this is why the company isn't going to make Bryan their biggest star because they and he know he is on (to steal a quote from Edge) "borrowed time"

When I read the word "Meltzer" But in all seriousness I wouldn't doubt it. The whole borrowed time thing seems about right. Wouldn't be shocked to see Sheamus or Ziggler take it off him soon. It's really unfortunate.

I hope he isn't another Edge.
Barrett or Sheamus will probably take the IC Title.

And people wonder why he wasn't in the main event at Wrestlemania 31...

Shame to hear. Seems like as soon as he get's on a roll, his injuries jeopardize it.

Hate hearing things like this. Bryan's health should be the number one concern.

He needs to retire before he gets seriously hurt.

He hasn't been the same since he came back. It seemed sudden that he did come back when all the reports were that he had a long way to go still. It's a shame that he has these issue, but he HAS to take time off to heal or he will never be the same again. He probably should have taken a year or two off like Michaels did. You can't rush neck and back injuries.

I watched his most recent interview with Sam Roberts and apparently all of these risks and whatnot are all on Bryan. He says the higher ups tell him to tone things down and he doesn't want to. It's amazing to see that he wants to put his body on the line for the sake of the fans and entertainment, but he clearly can't keep that up forever.

This is terrible news if true, I can only imagine how he feels and I hope to God for his sake that he doesn't need anymore surgeries in the foreseeable future.

I can certainly appreciate Daniel Bryan wanting to wow the fans with the flying headbutts and suicide dives, but for his own sake, I really wish he would tone it down a bit. He's absolutely good enough to adjust his style without losing what makes him special. He connects with the audience in such a way that he really doesn't need those risky moves. Neck injuries are nothing to mess with. He's already had one that could have easily ended his career and if he keeps risking another, his luck will run out and we'll be seeing an emotional Daniel Bryan retirement announcement a lot sooner than later.

Its cringeworthy watching him do all those neck bumps. He should have never been doing that stuff so early.

And people wonder why he wasn't in the main event at Wrestlemania 31... And we wonder why he was put in the most dangerous match on the card....

And people wonder why he wasn't in the main event at Wrestlemania 31... Yeah because the main event would have been so much worse for him than - you know - a freaking ladder match..
