It's a bit edgy for WWE these days, but a split personality storyline could do wonders for his career. He wants to be Cody, but that dark side of him, Stardust, is trying to take over. Similar to what TNA did with Dustin and Black Reign.

Yeah, there's no directions for his character right now, I like how he's playing his gimmick, but the Stardust thing is stupid right now... So, Cody Rhodes, please come back! |

As long as Cody is Stardust I think he will go about as far as his older brother did as Golddust. The gimmick just doesn't read World Champion; at best it is interim ICC or US champ and at worst it is comedy relief. How long before he is dragged out to the ring by one of the divas with a dog collar and ball gag or worse comes out on the Christmas Raw dressed as a Christmas tree complete with blinking lights? Its a real shame too because both are good wrestlers and above average on the mic when they want to be.

Cody just can't work by himself. He did well in 2011 with the masked gimmick but for most of the time he ends up in a random tag team. I thought for sure he would be successful as Stardust but that doesn't seem to be the case either.
I like him and he's a fantastic wrestler but without a tag partner there is no direction for him to go. |

He was Cody from 2007/2014 and was a tag team wrestler for 90% of that time. He just isn't world champion material which isn't a problem since not EVERYONE has to be world champion. Some of the biggest legends in WWE never had a world title run.
As for Goldust he is a living legend and Dustin played the gimmick to perfection. The Goldust gimmick was more over than Dustin would ever have been and how do we know he would never have been world champion? He was stuck in an era were Stone Cold, Rock, Taker, HHH & Shawn Michaels dominated the title scene so if they were out of the equation Goldust and many others superstars could've possibly won the title.

meh. The Stardust thing was cool when he was playing off Goldust. But now he's just a generic heel jobber #2542 but he has facepaint and a weird costume.
Cody is talented. He really is. Sadly he's just going to be another guy where in 5-10 years will end up on most peoples "should've done more with" list

i don't see it. He should drop the stardust crap and be cody rhodes Only problem with that is that The Most Boring Man Alive Cody Rhodes gimmick never works, so every time they try it, after a few months they always have to find him a tag partner or silly gimmick to avoid firing him. |

They could have just kept Stardust and Goldust together as a team, but nooooo, break them up and watch both do nothing now on their own. This is the truth! Why they even broke them up at all is a question to me. |

Well, last night on RAW, Stardust threw spiders on R-Truth. Maybe the bag with the spiders may very well be the missing link that Stardust needs.
