Get used to it. He continually improves and has now had three really good PPV matches since the Royal Rumble debacle. I am not really upset at seeing him featured. The character still needs work, but overall, I'm okay with it. I just find him stale... |

The Shield all being on the same page again would be crazy.
I doubt this will happen but crazier things have happened so this make Payback a lot more interesting.

If they reform The Shield - who would be the leader? Rollins? Maybe it doesn't matter....
I think a strong heel run would probably help Reigns character a great deal - he'd get some of those "bad-ass" cheers that Brock currently gets... Imagine a huge Summerslam main event - Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton VS. a heel Shield..... could be interesting.
I'll be at Payback, I'm hoping something memorable happens..... I could live with a Shield reunion.

Rollins has been on his own for less than a year, and even on his own he's still really in a faction with all of the Authority members always with him. I don't think it's a good idea to re-form The Shield less than a year after the breakup. The Wyatt Family should get back together because they are all floundering on their own....but all of the former Shield members are doing well. 2/3 are doing well, Dean is dying thanks to his booking. A heel turn could be good, if he can win a match clean or at least convincingly. He's probably better on the mic as a heel. Knowing this though, he'll just be fed to Cena or Orton. |

3 really good PPV matches? Please refresh me because the only one I remember being good was Reigns vs Bryan. Reigns vs Brock was not very good at all until Rollins came out to cash in. Reigns vs Show was passable ar best. Reigns/Bryan was indeed great. I found Reigns/Brock to be excellent. They told a fantastic story and had me, and many others, on the edge of our seats. Yes, Seth coming out was the best part, but the match was still great. Reigns/Show was the worst of the three but it was way better than it had any right to be. On paper, it was probably the weakest match on the card but turned out to be the second best to me behind the Tag Team Titles.  |

I'm torn on this. I loved The Shield and would enjoy seeing them together again. But I'm also enjoying the solo work of all 3 right now and fear this may be a step backwards. Reminds me of when Triple H left DX to move on to join the Corporation. He then feuded with DX only for them to reunite as a heel stable once he was solidified as a top star. There are TONS of similarities between The Shield and DX already concerning the split....yeah your right man this would bring it FULL circle. |

R-Truth had a singles title match in the main event against Cena. Winning it means something. There's a bit of a difference between Truth's situation at the time and Ambrose's now. Comparing the two is laughable. Truth, at the time, there were no other challengers for Cena. You look at who was around at that point, there was really almost nobody for Cena to face, so a singles match with a built up mid card guy was something that needed to be done for a throwaway show. Ambrose did not need to be added to this match. They already have two top guys in it, sure, like I said, Ambrose is there to take the fall, but there are plenty of ways to book this as a triple threat with nobody looking weak. The addition of Ambrose tells you a lot more about how they feel about him than how they felt about Truth at the time. They made him look like a joke, literally, for that entire feud (granted, it was pretty damn entertaining at the time). Ambrose, despite his losing booking, actually looks like a legitimate threat to win, maybe not at Payback, but he's a believable champion. The characters and situations are so different that comparing them is just asinine, really. It's pretty clear they have plans for Ambrose. |

I wouldn't do The Shield reunion but the idea of turning Reigns or Ambrose is interesting.I have thought for months that Reigns should turn heel and be THE MAN in the Authority,I know Rollins is killing it as the top heel but how about a double turn with the Authority turning on Rollins during the match and Reigns winning the title and become the #1 heel in the company.I think this could work and Rollins would be white hot as a babyface.I also think that having Reigns turn heel and siding with Rollins could work as well if you want to go the slow burn route and have Reigns play the enforcer and second to Rollins and have either the IC/US Title and those two kind of as the modern age "TWO MAN POWER TRIP" and do the slow burn leading to WM 32 where Reigns turn on Rollins ala like Batista did on Triple H a decade ago.

It would be a major steve that would be shocking for sure, but let's think about it really.
Reigns has stated many times he would 'Be WWE champion if it wasn't for Rollins'.
And we all know how much Ambrose hates Rollins, and nothing changed since when they were feuding.
I can't wait for an eventual Sheild reunion, but it won't be now. It wouldn't make sense at all.

Ambrose's booking has been horrible. But it looks like things are finally on the upswing for him after Extreme Rules.

They should tease a return during the match by stalking Randy into a corner. Then Reigns and Amrbose jump Rollins and Randy joins in on the beatdown.

I'm assuming they're turning Reigns heel so that he can ride off some of the left over hype from the Shield. Perhaps being over as a heel could help him get over as a face with an incoming face turn?

Ambrose is currently in a WWE Title match at the next PPV. That ain't too shabby. Could his booking have been better over the last few months? Sure. But he's been in IC Title matches, had a feature match at WrestleMania, I believe he's been on every PPV except for maybe missing 1 while filming a movie? It's just a matter of their being not a lot of room at the top. You've got Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Roman Riegns, you had Brock Lesnar as Champ for a while, John Cena was at the top until after Royal Rumble, they had to spend a lot of time creating matches for Sting and Undertaker at WrestleMania.....Dean was just not a priority. I think now that Mania season has passed and things are starting to settle, you can see how Dean quickly got right to the top angle. He'll be fine I think. I'm really happy he's been added to the Title match at PayBack, regardless of what happens. |
