To go along with the news of Sami Zayn's injury, Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Hideo Itami is also dealing with an injury. There were no specific details on the nature of the injury, but Itami could end up missing the upcoming NXT TakeOver special.

It took Itami awhile, but he's been great the last few months. Hope this is nothing serious.
Maybe this means we'll get Balor vs Owens vs Breeze at Takeover?

WWE NXT star Hideo Itami is out of action with a bad shoulder injury, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
While Itami is slated to be in a three-way bout against Tyler Breeze and Finn Balor at the 5/20 NXT Takeover event, according to sources we've spoken to, Itami is instead expected to be out of action for 6-8 months.
Sami Zayn is also out with an injury to his rotator cuff while Alex Riley is slated to undergo knee surgery today.

Zayn, Itami, and Riley. That is really unfortunate. MY LIFE IS OVER. This is a GOLDEN opportunity for Breeze, Owens, Balor and maybe Corbin to earn MAJOR points though. |

I want Rhyno to wrestle Owens in Zayns place after his match with Corbin (he can even put baron over it) Hideo out of the 3 way , so I guess it's Finn vs Tyler one on one Maybe they'll just combine the two matches and have Finn vs Owens vs Breeze for the title Eitherr way, lots of injuries but maybe some homegrown nxt guys can step up now |

I hate to see anyone miss all this time, but I'm intrigued as to what nXT will do in their absence. Who will move up? Who will fill those spots? Can't wait to see what they got up their sleeve.
