There was talk about him not drawing. How do you measure that? One of the ways would be ratings. Maybe people are tuning in for other people. But then how do you measure drawing power? Ticket sales wouldn't work since they could be buying a ticket to see someone else and it's not like we can know that. So I guess merchandise would be the only conclusive way to determine it. Do we have merchandise figures for his title run? But if we are going with merchandise then John Cena should always be champion. So maybe that's not the best way either. What were the ratings like when Lesnar was champion? A good champion to me has a lot to with booking. Think it would be unfair calling someone a bad champion just because ratings are down if the other 80% of storylines and matches are crap with general entertainment being low. Ratings were worse when Lesnar was champion compared to Miz. But I think that's unfair because Lesnar was hardly around. That's why I was comparing Miz to Punk. Raw had worse ratings while Punk was champion but I don't think anybody is going to call him the worst champion. Miz's title reign could have been booked better. Feuding with Jerry Lawler and being the third wheel to Rock and Cena isn't the best way to spend a title run. But if we are going to judge third wheels as being worst champions then Jericho should be in the running for being the third wheel to Triple H and Stephanie.

Only reason his reign is looked upon so highly is for beating The Rock and Austin in the same night. All downhill from there.

Miz did pretty good for himself being the first person to beat Cena in a one on one match at WrestleMania.

If your the WWE Champ you should be able to look like a world champ. While Jericho was booked terribly during his run he was still seen by the majority of the fans as a top star. While it was telegraphed well in advance that HHH was winning fans still saw him as being able to hang with HHH, Austin, Rock, etc... When Miz was champ it didn't matter that he was booked as a third wheel. He was simply out of place standing next to Cena and Rock. He didn't look like a world champ. He looked like a 5th grader trying to hang with high schoolers. Nothing about him screamed main eventer, let alone WWE Champ.

If Miz were on this list I 100% believe he would be at the top of the votes. HIs run was terrible. I still feel like Wrestlemania 27 was one of the worst Manias in history only beaten by 11 and 9.

Honestly, I felt that 11, 9, 2, 29 and 15 off the top of my head were worse than 27. 27 had Cody/Rey, Orton/Punk, HHH/Undertaker and Edge/Del Rio that were all really good. And I honestly felt that the Miz looked like he belonged during his title run. Even while being booked as a third wheel and feuding with the awful Jerry Lawler, Miz was still entertaining as hell. THe night he attacked Cena and cut his promo on the Rock was brilliant. Better promo than the Rock delivered in his whole run against Cena. The night he came out dressed as the Rock was excellent. Hell, even his match with Lawler wasn't bad and it's Jerry ing Lawler.

Mysterio had no business being champion.
Neither did Miz.

He was on the back burner practically the whole time as champion to the Cena/Nexus angle, Rock/Cena heading to Mania, and feuding with Jerry Lawler. Looking back at it now and especially what they've done with him since, I believe he had no right to be anywhere near that title.

I'd love to try to make an argument for Brock Lesnar on this list.... the months & months of the absentee champion were absolutely painful.... He may have had the fewest title defenses (or, for that matter, appearances) of any champ (over such a long period of time). But I doubt I'll get a lot of support around here, and I do confess - Lesnar-as-champ was kind of cool.... when he was around.
I'd have to say that The Miz & Sgt. Slaughter were the least believable champions WWE has ever had... the fact that Miz's post-championship career has consisted mostly of jobber-type matches has cemented his championship legacy as one of WWE's biggest mistakes....

4 pages and I still don't see how anyone could argue against Sgt. Slaughter being the absolute worst.
Hell, they had to move the entire location of a Wrestlemania because he wouldn't draw. Even against Hogan.

That's pretty much the only choice.

I'm using The Miz as a write-in candidate

Rey Mysterio hands down. It was a total crock that he lost the title the same night
