RSC, it would be cool if you could provide some insight into the RSC Exclusive.
I think it would be cool if you guys made a post on your blog or on this forum/thread here.
I'm sure there are others like myself who are very curious as to the creative or selection process that you guys go through when determining what you will release as an exclusive.
1. Is it something that you guys collectively propose to Mattel or do they give you options and you guys decide on the one you want to release?
2. If you guys are the ones proposing, do your initial ideas generally get shot down or is Mattel pretty open about your requests?
3. If you guys determine what the exclusive should be, what is your general process and how far in advance do you guys decide on the exclusive?
4. It would be cool to know what went into deciding on previous exclusives (ie. How did you decide on the attire for nWo Macho Man? Why SS98 Rock instead of Triple H? Etc.
5. Would you guys ever be open to creating a poll for a future exclusive and letting the members of the board help determine an exclusive?
Hope you guys can provide as much insight as possible. Would be cool.

For example: Don't say "Undertaker" Do Hell in a Cell 97 Undertaker Or Not simply Sting Do Wolfpac Sting. Or 1999 Style Sting. Or Clash if the Champions(insert year) Sting |

I always thought it would be cool if they'd give us something like 8 wrestlers that they have to choose from and have an elimination tournament and let us vote on who advances. Winner gets made into a figure and runner up is automatically in the tournament the next year.

If exclusives were decided by poll on the message boards, there would be a lot of figures produced that would rot in their warehouse forever. We'd end up with some obscure figures that have no mass appeal. Not everyone who shops at RSC is on the forums.
The last thing we need is an exclusive Red Rooster.

But it's not like we are sorting what the selections are. If RSC gives us, let's say, 4 options to choose from, I'm sure RSC would know that the 4 options would sell well. They wouldn't give us something obscure to choose from. |

Those polls get manipulated really bad though. We would end up with some obscure 70's guy for every exclusive if they did the poll thing.

If any of you could decide a figure for mattel to make would you put it up for vote or just choose what you want?

I can understand if there are copyright issues and licensing work and they can't really be releasing public info.. but if not, hell yea all of your suggestions sound great

They are always sold at a premium price and usually aren't worth the elevated price tag, yet they always sell out and skyrocket in price in the secondary market soooooo rsc probably doesn't care what any of us have to say regarding the matter

I'd rather not choose, remember the ECW CM Punk? They said it'll be a poll for either a yellow or red attire, then they just aborted the idea and went with red regardless. Then they had people disappointed that it wasn't yellow.
