What did you guys think? What do you think it means?
So I think this could mean one of two things: Owens is going to lose the NXT Championship this Wednesday at Take Over and then go on to beat Cena for the U.S. Title thus prompting him to move up to the main roster or (and this is probably the more likely scenario) this is just to give Cena something to do in the mean time. If Owens loses this week, then expect a new US champ in two weeks

Any one of your theories, I can see happening. I was so excited, as soon as I head his music I literally jumped out of my chair! It was a great moment that I won't forget.

I'd actually love to see someone hold the NXT and a midcard title at the same time. Makes for a really interesting scenario. I mean what would they do? We don't see NXT guys mingle with the main roster all that much although it has been happening more often lately.

I think it's gonna result in a lot of fans being royally pissed off.
John Cena will beat Kevin Owens in 2 weeks. Cena is known to do that. A wrestler gets hot, so he works with him and beats him. It's what Cena does.

I had a mark out moment when I saw Kevin Owens. That segment made him look so strong that it makes NXT look more like a third brand as opposed to being a developmental territory. With the large influx of NXT talent we see now, the XNT Effect is really being highlighted on the main roster. People have given Triple H a ton of crap over the years but him completely overhauling their "developmental" territory has been a big benefit to the WWE and their next generation of performers. Seth Rollins being the WWE Champion right now speaks volumes as to how NXT has been a success. I am going to say the I see $$$ signs on guys like Finn Bálor, Sami Zayn, and even Kevin Owens. I am loving how John Cena is being used as they bridge towards the next generation. I have no doubt Cena/Owens is going to be a damn good match. |

I don't think Owens will lose.. I want him to destroy Cena like he did with Zayn. Or, he gets helped by J&J security, Owens joins the Authority. He will become like a Lesnar v2 lol.

The best part was that it was clearly playing into his insecurities about Sami Zayn, that he saw how much bigger it made Sami so he had to try and do the same for himself.

I just now finally watched the segment from last night. It was great.

Back and forth match.
Owens kicks out of the AA.
Cena no-sells something.
