I'm all for creative alterations for the sake of doing "your thing" as a filmmaker, but -- these films are making creative choices that just don't fit. Like the color grading in Point Break. That blue/orange look to it is AWFUL. It was never a story suited for that "current action film" look. Point Break is closer to a drama, than an action film, I think. Can't even start on The Crow, but I'd rather see a sequel to Dracula Untold than Evans as The Crow. I like Evans. I thought Untold was awesome. I would have hated him as Draven though. I don't know the Jack Huston guy, never heard of him. He looks like more of a Top Dollar type than a Draven type to me, oddly enough. He also looks like the love child of Johnny Depp and Skeet Ulrich. Meh. I like Evans as well, and I thought Dracula Untold was immensely underrated. If it were going to be the start of a shared Universal Monster Universe -- I still want it.

If you're complaining that this looks like a The Fast & The Furious knock off, its because the director was the director of photography on The Fast & The Furious. So you can only really complain about him being consistent.
Also, Edgar Ramirez will never be in anything as good as he was in Carlos. Nothing he will be apart of will top his performance in that, nothing.

And I disagree. I'd be a better Lefou, though I do like Gad.

I don't think it looks horrible per say, but why bother with the Point Break title? Just change the name or at least change the characters names and give it one of those "Point Break: Insert subtitle" names

Plus, Ray f'n Winstone as Angelo? Yeah, sign me up.

That and get rid of the drastic teal/orange color grading.

Same one who thought this movie was a good idea? Straight up, it's less Point Break, more a low budget knock off of the Fast Franchise, from what I'm seeing. Well the first Fast and Furious movie is exactly the same movie as the original Point Break. At this point I feel like I have seen 7 Point Break sequels. This feels unnecessary. Which is exactly why it will be very successful.

The first F&F was an obvious rip off of Point Break, and now the new Point Break is an obvious rip off of F&F.
It didn't look bad, it just looks unnecessary.

Hollywood has pretty much raped the 80's for everything that it's worth. While I don't think they're quite done sodomizing that decade yet there's no reason to believe that they're not gonna start penetrating their way through the 90's as well. This is probably just the first of many to come.
