...no there's not.......
Isn't this movie suppose to open up on Christmas day?? What idiot thought a nationwide release against Star Wars: Episode 7 was a good idea?

Same one who thought this movie was a good idea? Straight up, it's less Point Break, more a low budget knock off of the Fast Franchise, from what I'm seeing.

Well the first Fast and Furious movie is exactly the same movie as the original Point Break. At this point I feel like I have seen 7 Point Break sequels. This feels unnecessary.

Point Break is one of the greatest movies ever made.
If kids today want to be as awesome as Johny Utah was pretending to be in that movie they should boycott the remake and watch the original.

In all honesty, the Trailer doesn't look half bad. If it was named anything other than Point Break, I'm sure it'll get more love.
Nothing will top the original.

Let's put aside the fact that it's a remake of one of the best 90's movies ever.
Who's bright idea was it to put NO recognizable names in the movie? It doesn't bode well when two leads are "the guy from November Man" and "that guy from Zero Dark Thirty" (granted I, and I'm sure A LOT of guys here know who Edgar Ramirez is, but PATRICK SWAYZE was Bodi, you need a STAR to play him in this version too.)
ALSO... a week after Star Wars? ARE THE NUTS?!
This movie just reaks of disaster.
Should've cast the Hemsworth brothers as the leads, it would've at least stood a chance then!

Let's face reality here, "stars" likely wanted absolutely nothing to do with this, for obvious reasons. I think opening against Star Wars is the best part about this whole deal. It will be smothered from existence that way, so right where it belongs. This is blasphemous imo.

Gerard Butler as Bohdi gave it a chance. He dropped out and they should have scrapped it.

My other problem is judging from the trailer, it doesn't even look like these guys HIDE the fact that they're the ones committing the robbery... like it seems like Utah knows it's them right away, so where's the "internal dillema" for Utah... that he likes and respects Bodhi, but once he figures out he's behind the robbery he knows what he has to do.

They need only watch what happens here to see what goes down with The Crow when that ends up blowing into theaters.

Luke Evans dropped out awhile ago and said it was a total sh*t show and that he was done waiting on the project. Sounded like it wasn't actually going to happen the way he was talking.

Yes, it's still happening, and they're wanting some chick to play Top Dollar. I was alright with Luke Evans splitting if they found a decent enough Draven. A female Top Dollar? Ehhhhh.

I thought it was a terrible idea to begin with but that sounds extra awful.

I'm all for creative alterations for the sake of doing "your thing" as a filmmaker, but -- these films are making creative choices that just don't fit. Like the color grading in Point Break. That blue/orange look to it is AWFUL. It was never a story suited for that "current action film" look. Point Break is closer to a drama, than an action film, I think. Can't even start on The Crow, but I'd rather see a sequel to Dracula Untold than Evans as The Crow.

I don't know the Jack Huston guy, never heard of him. He looks like more of a Top Dollar type than a Draven type to me, oddly enough. He also looks like the love child of Johnny Depp and Skeet Ulrich. Meh.
