They did it, they actually did it. 49 million for Sterling, despite his promise, is just laughable, especially from that opening 25 million bid. Another striker now is needed, Lacazette would be nice, have a feeling it'll be Benteke though.

We were linked with Ranieri a few years back. Didn't think we'd ever see him in the Prem again after the Greece failure but, here we are.

Tipping Leicester to go down with that appointment. Don't fancy Ranieri in the Premier League at all these days.

Don't like to be too judgmental about a manager as soon as they walk through the door but I'm inclined to agree. What's more depressing is it seems like a clear signal that we're moving away from the sensible slow and steady building project under Nigel to trying to buy success again, which didn't exactly go well under Sven. Hopefully he can stabilize us in the Prem for a year or two but I'm really not sure.

Well, looks like Benteke to Liverpool is all but confirmed. Can't say I'm thrilled with the amount spent, but another striker was a huge need. Time to wait and see.

Benteke is pretty much the best on offer to you right now. Anyone better will probably choose to go to a CL team. Bacca you might have been able to get but Milan probably offered him ridiculous wages.

Benteke is just a better version of Lambert, who they couldn't figure out how to use effectively.
I can't see him doing well. Waste of money. And it's not his fault, I just can't see him adapting his game to suit their style.

Benteke leaving, now Delph is leaving again. Villa are going to need a Southampton-esque rebuilding job to repair this damage.

Fabian Delph is a dick of the highest order. Brilliant.

United will push us hard this Season. Their squad is so fresh and midfield is dynamic. Depay will be a big Player, looked keen to impress in this friendly going on at the moment.
Deplh has every right to be leaving, he should be playing for a bigger club to progress as a Player. However I thought he was right to turn down City as he'll get limited game time. Silly to go back there in my opinion, unless he enjoys playing in the capital One Cup.

Next season (16-17) if they keep strengthening the team, they've got a really good shot. Also I have a sneaking suspicion that Schweinsteiger will be a flop. I don't know, it just seems injury problems, not being used to the league, he's in his 30s now. I can't wait to see him in action but I've got a bad feeling about him.

Yeah Shweinsteiger has been struggling for fitness since just after the World Cup. To be fair though, he looked head and shoulders above everybody in that friendly yesterday, albeit a friendly. Toni Kroos' double on and off the ball.

Looking back at his goal record for us, I forgot how many he actually got. Shame his attitude is a disgrace. RE: McClean. I weren't wrong

RE: McClean. I weren't wrong What's he done this time? After his scandal for not wearing his poppy whilst with us he refused to stand for the national anthem. Half of his problem if that he doesn't say his beliefs beforehand therefore looking like a c*nt.

Luis to Atleti. God what a waste that was. Best LB in the world in 13/14 benched and loses a whole year of his career.

Kinda worried how Benteke's play style will fit in with the club. Lambert apparently out to West Brom for three million, which is totally fine.
Guzan getting shopped around would be crazy for Villa's hopes, especially since they've transferred Given to Stoke too. If he, Beteke, and Delph all leave then I don't think I see them sticking around. I do, however, really like Jack Grealish and Richards coming in along with Agbonlahor, I'd still have Sunderland and Watford down before them.
