Does anyone else think Kofi has a chance of winning MITB? Or does anyone want him to win it?
Now some people may think that Kofi has the least chance to win it but it would definitely make sense. It's now or never for WWE to push him into the main event scene. With Kofi randomly facing Lesnar at a house show and the recent involvement with New Day being featured with Orton, Ambrose, Reigns etc I think he has a slight chance of winning it.
Kayfabe wise it would make sense since Kofi's won every title but the World Title and MITB is meant to take stars to the next level. C'mon Reigns and Orton don't need the win, Sheamus and Dolph could do with it but they don't need it that badly. If Wyatt is added or if Rusev is back then I see one of those guys winning it or we'll see Reigns win it and he'll cash in during Lesnar/Rollins at SummerSlam.

I love Kofi. He's been a favorite for years and he's been excelling as a heel as of late. I'm glad he's in the match, but I don't see any way he'll win.

I said it in Banter but I have no clue why he's in the match. It's so random. He hasn't been a singles wrestler in months. I understand he can do cool spots and take bumps but so can plenty of other guys. I love what he's doing in a tag team stable right now and throwing him in the MITB match is weird.
He's also facing Lesnar in Japan...for some reason.
Kofi clearly has nude photos of Vince and HBK or something.
This would be like Demolition Smash randomly being in MITB while Ax and Crush sat out.

Kofi Kingston is only in the match because they need a spot monkey along with Neville to do amazing stuff off the ladder, for the ladder, from the ladder, with the ladder, etc.
Kofi has zero chance of winning the MITB briefcase. Ahhhh zero.... zeeerrrooo.... zero.

He's going to win so he can lose it to Lesnar. With the rumors of Lesnar's return, I don't see why he couldn't just be in the match and win it. |

He does have a chance at winning the briefcase, but it is highly unlikely. And to those who say that is the reason Lesnar will face him at a house show in Japan, the reason is on Lesnar's end, not Kofi's. |

Hell no, that would be god awful. Kofi is a solid worker who became absolutely stale as a performer, much like Barrett. If they had plans to ever pull the trigger on either, they have sorely waited way too long in my book. He's finally starting to gain a little traction as a heel, though I still really do not like New Day, but he's no where near relevant enough to get the MITB..

It'd be weird for him to win...but I kinda hope they do it.
Kofi cashes in and wins with the help of Woods and Big E. All three boast about how they're the new faces of WWE. At the next Special Event, tension between the three costs them the title. This leads to Kofi being kicked out and replaced by Bo Dallas. Kofi then proclaims his new goal to win back the WWE title without anyone's help.
Of course, all of this implies that the crowd is cool with Kofi finally getting his shot and that the top guys are busy elsewhere.
We really are overdue for the first Black WWE Champion...
