Obviously the thread title will be misleading.
However, without a stupid poll I'd like to know where everyone stands on who they felt in the duration of the wrestling business.. Who kept you on the edge of your seat the best.
Clearly people like Foley and Flair and Punk are going to come up in this a lot.
I might be biased because where I grew up.. The coolest man in the world was indeed Ric Flair. You really wanted to be him as a kid. He had the money, the belt, the ladies, and the group to back him up.
There have been so many people who just flat out can't talk, but this thread is just here for us to appreciate who kept us going. Who kept us in this business. Who kept us waiting for the next line.

Cm punk, pipebomb. I don't think anything will really top this because of how real it actually was.

I've always enjoyed the Rock's promos the most. That will probably upset hardcore wrestling fans, but I'm just sort of a casual fan.

Shawn Michaels's heel promo in Canada back at 2005. That was the Shawn Michaels we all knew and loved.

Hands down the best non scripted promo ever. So great its still discussed today and The Rock even ripped it off a few years ago

if you're talking overall guys
Flair Dusty Piper Rock
in any order really
and it's not even close
but if you're talking one specific promo?
Take everything into context with that video. The time, the person, everything. That promo made arguably the 2nd biggest star EVER in wrestling HISTORY. That promo sold about 50 million t-shirts. It's hard to find a promo in history that was more game-changing or influential to an era that that.

For me it's "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. That guy during his ECW runs had the gift of gab. He could talk and talk and make people interested in what he was saying too.

Heyman, Cena, Edge and Foley. The Rock when I was a kid of 15 or so. Occasionally Punk and Triple H. Miz in 2009-2010 was really good, as was Kurt Angle before he became a pilled-up mess.

Anytime Punk grabbed a microphone was my favorite promo. I especially liked his multi part promo when he was at the University of Miami stadium or whatever it was. Those were great. The pipebomb, obviously. His in ring promo with Triple H before their match on whatever PPV that was.

I love the audiences reaction, like they just knew the game had changed and they were seeing something completely new. I agree with that being the best promo of all time. Set in motion the antihero in wrestling
