Dusty was always a household name for us, me and my dad would always imitate the way he spoke, with that real quick lispy way... duthy roathes .
both Christopher Lee and Dusty on the same day. This sucked waking up to.

And yeah you're right, would be great to see them have a proper ing match once though.

Awful news. I was And am VERY saddened over this. One of my all time faves, I still remember getting his Hasbro MOC when I was little and still have it saved because when I was a kid I was fixated w Dusty's polka dot era in WWF. He is one of the premier wrestling minds of all time and a legend, rip Dusty

Very sad news. I remember back at a WM28 Axxess session I attended, I was getting ready to leave at the end of the night. Unadvertised, in the memorabilia section, Dusty Rhodes & Harley Race were signing autographs. My eyes about popped out of my head, as this was so unexpected. But 2 pick security guards wouldn't let anyone else in there. Typically, that type of thing wouldn't bother me, but there's always been something so appealing to me about those 2 stars.

It has been a couple of hours since the news broke out. My heart just ****ing hurts knowing we lost not only an icon to the industry but also one of the all-time greats. I normally don't cry when people pass on but this is one of those deaths that is making me cry. Had I been born ten days earlier, I would have shared the same birthday as Dusty Rhodes (October 12th).

At least he wasn't another wrestler that died from a heart attack. It's a shame he's gone.

At least he wasn't another wrestler that died from a heart attack. It's a shame he's gone. Well he might have. It sounds like he died after complications from the fall he had. While most have heart complications the constant drug and steroid abuse,my guess is that the weight he carried around for so many years finally took it's toll. He was still one of the best ever to step inside the ring. Miss him already.

Man.... This is crazy.
R.I.P to one of the greatest of all time. Top 5 wrestler of the 80's no doubt. This man has classics. His charisma was through the roofs, and his promos were top notch. It's a shame to hear he has passed. My condolences are with his family and friends.
Thanks for all the good memories Dusty!
