He was honestly one of my favorite commentators. As well as one of the the greatest professional wrestlers ever.

It's been hours later and I still don't have words to express how this makes me feel...

Summer Rae's post on instagram is really touching. She's a cool girl.
The NXT kids' posts have been really great. You can tell how much they truly enjoyed working with him.

Posting the text from Summer here since I feel that everyone should read it. On a side note, I absolutely love that she tagged Rob Naylor in the post. She and him started in FCW around the same time and were always around Dusty on television.

I heard this news earlier today. I actually went to work at 3:00 and turned on the radio on the way. I was listening to 96:1 krock southwest Florida and they had the hard times promo playing and I thought it was weird but cool to hear a wrestling promo on the radio. Didn't think nothing of it and then my friend texted me like 29 mins later saying dusty had died. Surreal.

Just went through, reading a bunch of tweets from a bunch of talent, and I teared up, with each one I read. The common thread, is so many of the condolences, was about his teaching of younger talent; the way he would back the talent in NXT, made them believe in themselves, and helped them get better. You read so many of those, and you realize, 2 things; 1. Dusty didn't just leave his thumb print on the business, he left two giant hand prints on it, and 2. the wrestling world would be a much better place, if you had more people like the Dream in it.

Aww Summer Im so glad dusty gacr summer rae a chance and I'm also glad to see he wasn't one of those guys who didn't want the women's division to be a success and make them look bad he actually gave divas a chance.Makes me appreciate and respect him even more.Thank You Dusty Rhodes.

I'm actually kind of gutted right now... Shocked and saddened. Tears have been flowing on and off since I heard this terrible news. Very seldom does someone come along in the wrestling world who's a genuinely wonderful person. Ever less often do those types end up making the massive impact on the industry that Dusty Rhodes has. My thoughts go out to his family. I know it's very small comfort at a time like this, but hopefully they can find the slightest smile in their hearts knowing that Dusty Rhodes is a man and a performer who will never be forgotten.
Rest In Peace American Dream... Rest In Peace.

I read this morning that he has been trying to lose weight and lower his blood pressure for quite a while now and it could have contributed to his body not handling it well.
