This is sad news. And odd/strange timing, because for the past few days (since my Horsemen pics) I have had his theme playing in my head to the point that my wife told me enough with singing/humming Dusty's theme song already. She will be sad when I tell her later, because she loved Dusty.

sorry to bring up something kinda off topic.. but since most of us are sad right now, and filled with awesome memories ..especially us older fans who loved him as a baby face battling the evils like flair & ole & tully or the russians.. the old school TBS SUPERSTATION interviews with tony shiavone & jr.. and the fun times in WWE 89 - 91 like against Macho Man, or Bossman, or Dibiase.. all those elbow smashes!! but the off topic topic i really wanted to bring up was the thought of what is bound to happen one day.. hopefully far away.. but heck he is same age as DUSTY.. what will it be like the day we hear Vince McMahon has passed away.. i mean, i cried uncontrollably on May 23rd 1999 nd the next night during RAW IS OWEN cause i really liked owen plus it was a terrible accident at a young age.. same with Eddie, and warrior cause of the crazy irony, and raw speech.. i mean many guys deaths that i looked up to in the world of wrestling are very sad.. cause they entertained me for years with great athleticism and charisma... henning, bossman, rude, benoit ( for a day), pillman, gorilla monsoon, i could go on and on and on and sadly on... BUT Vince McMahon.. even more than Hogan.. it doesnt get bigger, more influential in this industry... seriously can you guys imagine what RAW episode would be like... what WWE.COM will look like..?? i dont mean to be negative , just the death of DUSTY at age 69 made me sad and made me think Vince is 69, turning 70 in August.. and i dont think dusty every ate sauce with his pasta, or drank juice with his breakfast.. if ya hear me!.. we all come to and end, its just gonna be a world wide news story and very sad day when the Chairman goes to rest. what say you? today i feel very bad for cody & dustin, watching 2007 Hall of Fame, you could blatantly notice how much LOVE there was in the Runnels Family.. and also happy Dusty got to help SOO many of the deep south/ FCW / nxt rookies learn secrets and perfect their game.. back in the day in this business, a man like DUSTY who had UBER amounts of valuable knowledge , purposely kept it top secret, minus the 2 or 3 boys he rode with.. this business has changed drastically.. and its cool that DUSTY RHODES aka VIRGIL RUNNELS got to influence many since the 1970s.. the Nineteen freakin seventies!!! UH Mayor Uh CON ON.. DREE EEE EEE EAMMMM...DONG DONG DONG DONG( COW BELL) he was far from a common man!

I knew that immediately when I got the alert of his death so many of you would say "When are we getting a FB now?" Come on! RIP Dusty Yep, I unfortunately thought the same thing. I met Dusty at his promotion of TCW, back in early 2000's, right after WCW sold and he was such a great and humble person. Thank you for being the Common Man, Dusty ... god bless

RIP Dusty I was going to say I didn't see anyone ask for a FB before your reply...then I reread the original post. The first time I read it I stopped reading after the first sentence. Also I just heard actor Christopher Lee passed away also. They say these always come in threes.

noooooooooooo, i am really gutted, he was a absolute legend and will never be forgotten. My best wishes go out to his nearest and dearest (what do you mean dusty's wife doesn't collect figures of the great man). Very sad but without a shadow of a doubt we will get a new Dusty now , maybe HOF s3. all i can say that Flair must be some sort of Android to be outliving some of these guys.
