I am not going to put Dusty in a lineup just because he died.
We do not put out action figures to 'celebrate' or 'honor' someone who recently died. We put them out to make money.
An NWA Dusty is something I plan on putting in a future lineup but I am not going to rush work on it now to capitalize on today's news.

if you will i would love sum1 who has Mattel Dusty Rhodes to pose him, maybe the Tully & Arn puttin the boots to him!!.. or holdin Bossman's gimmicks ala Survivor Series 89!! i'll miss him.. so many lucky young talents down in FL got to learn from the best.. Cue the Cowbell Not Arn and Tully but I took these back when Legends Series 1 came out...    And these when I got the Horsemen set...   Can you make some photos where Dusty wins one...you know, for old time sake? |

What a sad day. He was one of the guys you would watch over and over again. I also waited for his promos after the Horsemen attacked or there was a big match coming up. Such a sad day. Thoughts and prayers with his family. Cody and Dustin must be devastated right now.

should be in the hof if isnt already. RIP Dusty He was inducted in 2007. He fully deserved to be in it for sure. hope we get an nwa version in the hof line then |

Unfortunately, I never got to meet Dusty.... he was scheduled to be at the AXXESS session that I attended at WM29, but we didn't see him. I had carried the JAKKS Dusty Rhodes figure around in my bag all day! I was really hoping to get it signed.... Later, I heard from other people that he was there.... so we must have missed him. I've always kicked myself that we didn't get to meet him that day! For now, I will just express myself the way I often do best....      Thank you, Dusty Rhodes..... for all you contributed to professional wrestling. When I first started watching in 1990, one of my first "favorite segments ever" was when Dusty came out & foiled the Big Boss Man, then took his hat & billy club & danced all over the ring. Dusty started the original "anti-bullying" campaign! It was one of those cool moments that made a young impressionable kid into an adult wrestling fan. There will never be another!  |
