Keep Your Friends Close.....
---------------------------------------------------
Joshua Dean & Penny Shannon vs. Daniel Kirkbride & Joe Bishop
Things are heating up in the conversation regarding the International Championship. Joshua Dean is the current number one contender but he's been having trouble with a certain devout young man these last few weeks. Daniel Kirkbride has made it apparent that Josh stands in the way of his progression, taking it as far as attacking him after their tag match at Ascension. His partner this time around is a man who is no stranger to turning on his team mates, the current International Champion, Joe Bishop. Can these two men trust each other enough to work together or will the strong bond that Josh and Penny have make them an insurmountable force? Penny's been on a roll since her return and with little on her plate right now it makes sense for her to help out her good friend and business associate, the head of the Dean family. With Drakz, Trace Demon and Michael Kyzer all tied up in the Tag Team Title Tournament there's a lot of space at the top of the card, can these four take their careers to the next level, and cement their position as main eventers? Let's find out!
WFWF Tag Team Title Tournament Semi Final
---------------------------------------------------
Drakz & Tugarin Zmey vs. Jonny Hess & Lucas Crowe
At New Dawn the world was surprised to see Drakz and Tugarin Zmey working together. They didn't exactly wow us with double team maneuvers or even really have any kind of chemistry, however they got the job done, which is all that matters. Having defeated the only existing tag team in the tournament they now find themselves up against two new comers to the fed, one of whom has already done a lot to impress the fans and suits at WFWF. "The Motor City Mercenary" Lucas Crowe came up short against Penny Shannon last week, but he's in good company, as some of the biggest stars this company has ever known can say the same thing. He's back in tag team action alongside partner Jonny Hess who has thus far been caught in his partner's shadow. Can Crowe carry his team to victory again? Or will The Dragon and The "God" Slayer be the first to secure their place in the tournament finals?
WFWF Tag Team Title Tournament Eliminator
---------------------------------------------------
H.U.2. vs. Axel Thornstowe & Jon Gotch vs. Michael Kyzer & Ante Whitner
All three of these teams are being granted a chance at redemption. Another opportunity to make it to the finals and the gold that waits there. Thornstowe & Gotch showed the ability to adapt to their surroundings in their first match as a team, working well together as though it was second nature, however they just came up short thanks to the brute strength of Lucas Crowe. Jayson Garrett & Diamond Jack Sabbath put in a stellar effort against Drakz & Tugarin Zmey at New Dawn but in a frustrating turn of events victory slipped through their fingers. Kyzer & Whitner probably came the closest to victory in their opening bout and yet they still find themselves in this tourney eliminator, looking to score a shot at a rematch with Trace Demon & Nikki Dean. All three teams are going to be firing on all cylinders because a loss here means dropping out of the tournament altogether. This is a second chance, and isn't something to be wasted and thus could steal the show!
Opening the Show
---------------------------------------------------
Shapiro vs. Joey Raid
Joey Raid debuted at New Dawn against the number one contender for the International Championship. He may have walked out of his first match with a loss but there are few in this business who can say their initial foray into the big time went any differently. This week Raid finds himself across the ring from a man who has been missing form WFWF programming for a few weeks now, "The Hope Dealer" Shapiro! Where has he been? Who's to say. After all he did have a brutal match up with Thornstowe back at End Game. Either way both of these men are going to want to grab the world's attention and a victory here could do just that.
