The human race is horrible. I hope this happens and then animals can eventually grow back and none of them will come to our intelligence. This is a logical certainty. I likes me the way Herr Nietzsche put it, "In some remote corner of the universe, poured out and glittering in innumerable solar systems, there once was a star on which clever animals invented knowledge. That was the haughtiest and most mendacious minute of "world history"—yet only a minute. After nature had drawn a few breaths the star grew cold, and the clever animals had to die." Of course we may die before the sun grows cold at the rate we're at. As far as us being horrible, it's not like anyone doesn't know what you mean, but nature made us, we are a product of the rules, we are animals as well. Animals deprived of fighting with the claws and teeth we wish we had, so we use knowledge. So who is to blame for this wretched animal called man? The devil probably? Or is there no one to blame and no one to condemn man except for man himself? Nature already affirmed us, so is it possible for any species to become an abomination upon the earth? Or does man just have a guilty conscience, a sick animal ashamed because of what he knows of himself, when he never would know what he does in the first place if his damn claws and teeth were bigger!!

there are still large amounts of people claiming global warming isn't 'a thing'. it's called willful ignorance and we'll only have the option of that for so much longer...
the ice caps are melting. when the ocean level rises, that's when it'll all start...

People call me crazy all the time for spouting about my beliefs towards an eminent extinction event. To me, it's simple. Animals are dying in record numbers because humans have bulldozed their homes and depleted their natural food sources. Not to mention the rampant poaching that's been done. The world works on balance. Human beings have irresponsibly thrown the world out of balance. It's not the just animals either. The environmental damage that's been done is frightening in some aspects. And that doesn't even bring into question the massive explosion in human population that there's been in the last few hundred years. Our world needs balance to exist and sustain itself. Mother Nature used to do a wonderful job of keeping that balance. Sometimes it's tragic and brutal, but it happens for a reason. Unfortunately, we humans have been laughing in Mother Nature's face for a long time now in many ways and it seems clear to me that she's getting a little tired of it. She's been sending warning signs for some time. She's trying to tell us to dial it back. As the dominate species on the planet, it's our responsibility to ensure that Earth is around for future generations. It's our responsibility to listen when Mother Nature speaks. We're not listening. Eventually, Mother Nature is going to get really pissed off about it and wipe a large portion of us out. She's going do it with a tear in her eye and she's going to destroy more than just us... Plants and animals will also be devastated. Oceans will rise and wipe out large pockets of land. The earth will shake and reshape itself. Life as we know it will be changed forever. She doesn't want to do that, but she will if we give her not other choice. If we don't start taking some steps towards respecting and preserving our planet again, Mother Nature will have no option but to reset things. We're approaching that point of no return already and seem to be getting closer and closer every year. I don't have the answers on what to do exactly. It starts with small steps in our own lives. Beyond that it will probably take a collective effort on the part of large portions of the human population. Things need to be done without concern to profit, social status, or nationality. Unfortunately, I fear we, as a species, have grown far too divided and selfish to maintain the type of global benefit thought process that it would take to turn things around at this point and that's a terrible shame indeed. Something big is coming. It might not happen in our life time, but our grandchildren's children could be the ones who suffer Mother Nature's wrath. Call me a nutcase if you want. That's okay... I've heard it before. you're not crazy at all! at least in my opinion! this is something that has been building for a long, long time... - a human civilization that has far outgrown the planet's ability to sustain it. - wholesale destruction of entire species due to overpopulation, pollution, and chemical saturation of the environment - fundamentally changing the very DNA of animals, flowers and plants, and vegetables and fruits to meet our needs - a near constant spilling of chemicals into the environment, on soil, in water, in the very air we breath. - turning the oceans into a garbage dump by the mass waste that we put into it. - changing the weather patterns with air pollution and degredation of the ozone layer - destroying rain forests on a massive scale, the very things that supply most of the oxygen for the frigging planet! - don't even get me started on HAARP and other government projects designed to change the Earth's magnetic field, the weather patterns, hell the very makeup of the atmosphere itself, to meet whatever needs or plans they have in the last 150 - 200 years, mankind has so fundamentally changed the course, structire, and very makeup of this planet to suit it's own needs - with no regard for the other species' living with us - that I have no doubt we're probably PAST the tipping point already, and the downward spiral has already begun. it make take us decades, if not centuries, to get to the bottom, but the massive damage we've done to this planet in the name of "progress" is borderline obscene. the question in my mind is not how do we stop the damage, it's how bad the damage is going to be when the receipts finally come in.
