World possibly entering 6th mass extinction period.

I'm of personal belief the world will have some sort of natural disaster in the next 45-90 years. I don't how much will get wiped out, but I truly believe we're headed towards something gigantic and a lot of theorists with actual reason or cause for belief probably have reasons outlined and dated as well...

I just look at the world today, what a crapstorm it is, and look at history and trends.... Something is going to wipe a large chunk of us out in the next 50 years... I'm pretty firm on this. What it will be, I have no idea. I hate to sound like a cliche , but I live for tomorrow and don't worry about dying today.

People call me crazy all the time for spouting about my beliefs towards an eminent extinction event. To me, it's simple. Animals are dying in record numbers because humans have bulldozed their homes and depleted their natural food sources. Not to mention the rampant poaching that's been done. The world works on balance. Human beings have irresponsibly thrown the world out of balance. It's not the just animals either. The environmental damage that's been done is frightening in some aspects. And that doesn't even bring into question the massive explosion in human population that there's been in the last few hundred years. Our world needs balance to exist and sustain itself. Mother Nature used to do a wonderful job of keeping that balance. Sometimes it's tragic and brutal, but it happens for a reason. Unfortunately, we humans have been laughing in Mother Nature's face for a long time now in many ways and it seems clear to me that she's getting a little tired of it. She's been sending warning signs for some time. She's trying to tell us to dial it back. As the dominate species on the planet, it's our responsibility to ensure that Earth is around for future generations. It's our responsibility to listen when Mother Nature speaks. We're not listening. Eventually, Mother Nature is going to get really pissed off about it and wipe a large portion of us out. She's going do it with a tear in her eye and she's going to destroy more than just us... Plants and animals will also be devastated. Oceans will rise and wipe out large pockets of land. The earth will shake and reshape itself. Life as we know it will be changed forever. She doesn't want to do that, but she will if we give her not other choice. If we don't start taking some steps towards respecting and preserving our planet again, Mother Nature will have no option but to reset things. We're approaching that point of no return already and seem to be getting closer and closer every year.

I don't have the answers on what to do exactly. It starts with small steps in our own lives. Beyond that it will probably take a collective effort on the part of large portions of the human population. Things need to be done without concern to profit, social status, or nationality. Unfortunately, I fear we, as a species, have grown far too divided and selfish to maintain the type of global benefit thought process that it would take to turn things around at this point and that's a terrible shame indeed.

Something big is coming. It might not happen in our life time, but our grandchildren's children could be the ones who suffer Mother Nature's wrath.

Call me a nutcase if you want. That's okay... I've heard it before.

Well, yeah. Everyone knows the bombs drop on October 23, 2077.

Awaiting governments blaming something other than humans taking away the natural habitats of animals and all of their resources. We best not have some giant Ass asteroid smash us.

There will be a nuclear war before any natural end will come.

I read this article the other day. It ends with "it's not too late to avert this". Apparently all we have to do to prevent this from happening is pay a carbon tax.

Let me get DM Sting before this happens.
