Hate to keep posting these but...
Rather than have two topics about the same thing, I merged them into one.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him resign with TNA.

A-Double would be an excellent addition to NXT.
But hell, NXT, TNA, ROH ... As long as Austin Aries is on my TV somewhere, I'll be happy.

He should probably leave while he can.
If they signed Joe why not sign him?

He should probably leave while he can. If they signed Joe why not sign him? They didn't want him to compete on the last season of Tough Enough but maybe their tune has changed. I certainly hope so.

I'd personally love to see him in NJPW.

A Double is must watch TV. He was going to retire from wrestling before he did the X showcase and signed with TNA in 2011 though. So he may be willing to go down that road now. I do think he should reach out to WWE. The NXT landscape has totally changed and he's an incredible talent. I would think ROH could use him back too, especially if WWE is about to raid ROH for more talent.
This is up there with TNA losing Chris Sabin and AJ Styles for me. He's a guy that I'll tune-in just to watch, regardless of what else a company is doing. Damn shame to close the book on him but it's a damn shame to be closing the book on TNA. At least this way, Aries gets a head start on looking for other work. Although, everyone is going to know by next week anyway.

Every couple of months, I go back and watch the Before The Bell special about Destination X 2012:
Aries was always enjoyable to watch in the ring, but this UFC style countdown show cemented me as a fan.
TNA would be foolish not to re-sign him, but I do want to see A-Double in a main event position wherever else. With Itami & Zayn out of the picture and Owens being called up, Aries would fit right in with Joe & Balor.

I want Aries to stay in TNA, TNA pretty much saved AA from retiring from pro wrestling the guy was really down when WWE didn't want him and when he was out of ROH.

I'm sure WWE would sign him and put him on NXT. It's all up to him to decide what he wants and what's best for him and his family. I don't know what TNA is paying him, but the rumor is that the TNA talent aren't even being paid regularly and that checks are often late.
Does he want to be at the top of a company that is struggling and may lose TV? Or does he want to be a small piece of the WWE machine?
These are decisions that Austin Aries needs to make when the time comes.

imo, he was the last hope for tna. when he went from the x-division to the championship, i watched. but his character dissolved..they turned him from heel to face to heel too quickly...and any hope left.

Man i really think Aries might hang em' up. He was contemplating retirement before he signed with TNA, i hope he isn't doing the same here....
That man should have never wasted his time, he should be a STAR by now.

I feel like this should have been in the spoiler board but I am sad to see him go. Not surprised, but I hope he finds success elsewhere.
