Reading that some of the guys leaving will still be used for TV tapings in the future, they're just no longer "exclusive" TNA contracts. I hope Aries falls under that banner..

I would love to see Aries back in ROH for a couple of shows.

Man i really think Aries might hang em' up. He was contemplating retirement before he signed with TNA, i hope he isn't doing the same here.... That man should have never wasted his time, he should be a STAR by now.

Watching his "last" match tonight was fairly disappointing. I prefer to see guys go out in a blaze of glory opposed to holding an above average match.

All the best for Aries, there wasn't really much left to be achieved in TNA for him. Although I do wish he held onto the TNA title longer than dropping it to Jeff at BFG, but then again Jeff's money whether you love him or hate him.

Needs to be in WWE - it's long overdue. HHH needs to get him in, ASAP. Disappointing news about Bram re-signing though. He should probably leave while he can. If they signed Joe why not sign him? They didn't want him to compete on the last season of Tough Enough but maybe their tune has changed. I certainly hope so. Austin ing Aries shouldn't even have to consider competing on Tough Enough with rookie wannabes.

Yeah, he tried out for the 2011 season and didn't make it. I believe they told him he was too old. Jimmy Jacobs was at the same tryout and also got passed over. Jacobs posted a video about the deal right after it happened where he was extremely emotional over the situation. I honestly think it's a big factor in why Aries was going to quit wrestling and go to culinary school. I think he felt WWE was the only place he could really go beyond what he'd already done. Then TNA called again.

Then TNA called again. Why did two of the greatest ROH talents in history want to try out for Tough Enough?!?! Probably because 90-95% of wrestlers at that level dream about walking down the aisle at WrestleMania, especially when you're an 80s baby and lived through guys like Hogan/Macho/Warrior as a kid, and then saw the boom of the Attitude Era in your teen years. Is just my guess. It's not really about being on Tough Enough. It's about getting a foot in the door at a company that you've dreamed of working for since you were a kid and fell in love with wrestling. Plus, the landscape in 2011 was entirely different than it is now. We didn't have CM Punk and Daniel Bryan cutting their way to the top yet, and there was no NXT as we know it now. I admire a guy on A Double's level who is willing to start at the bottom all over again for just a shot at making it to WWE. This ing company rehired Matt Morgan and lets Aries and Low Ki walk. Matt Morgan wasn't rehired. He just did the one match at Slammiversary that played into Bram's angle. I'm guessing Aries and Ki being done with the company had more to do with them than it did TNA. As performers, why would you want to be under contract to a company that may not have a TV deal beyond the summer? That handcuffs the talent from going other places, like NXT or ROH. A wrestler is a brand and once you're out of sight, you're out of mind. The door is likely always open for those two if TNA does get renewed or finds another home. Plus, TNA is clearly having financial issues to go along with their TV deal issues.

He could have been on the second season of NXT, if not promoted to the main roster directly. And while Punk & Danielson were just starting to build steam with Punk's contract situation, & Bryan winning MITB, there have been wrestlers like Bryan Kendrick helping to break down barriers in WWE.

Well back to ROH for Aries. Cannot blame him. ROH is hot, and well TNA is not for the most part. We'll see how things play out.

He's not back in ROH. He's working the Vegas shows. After that, time will tell.
