The era of ECW and the Monday Night War was just a fun time to be a wrestling fan too.
You got to watch Raw for 2 hours, and during those 2 hours you never heard anything about WWE app, twitter, tweeting, what's trending, hashtag this, hashtag that, $9.99, WWE Network, JBL yelling random things for no reason, Michael Cole recapping the first segment of Raw every 30 minutes, and so on.
I just look back fondly to the WWE New Generation, Attitude Era, and Ruthless Aggression Era as fun times to be a wrestling fan in general.

I'd like certain aspects of the Attitude Era to be brought back. The focus of the Tag Team division was so good, especially around 1999-2001. Plus there was more storylines going on that just the Championship. The match quality these days are much more better though.

It would be so wonderful if WWE talked more about wrestling history OUTSIDE of WWF circa 1984 forward. It's the most illogical thing to have your wrestlers getting injured left & right, but there's dozens of holds & moves that are low-risk, but wildly entertaining when used properly in the telling of a story.

I loved both, but ECW, outside of some standouts hasn't aged well for me... And although there was a lot of awesome in the AE I've felt like people have been viewing it through rosie colored lenses for years.

Most old ECW stuff hasn't aged well at all. Very much a product of its time.

I've never really been a big ECW fan, and the AE really isn't as good as I remembered it.

The 90's was one of the best times as a wrestling fan. School chatter was about Austin, DX, nWo, Goldberg, Dudleys... The TLC matches, beer baths, Ministry of Darkness, HHh kidnapping Steph, The Rock quotes, Goldberg screw jobs.... Taz suplexing the world. It was MUST SEE. There were no recaps. Replays. DVR's. If you missed it, you couldn't go back and re watch. Thats why all of that was burned in out minds, you had to remember it. Now, wrestling has become forgetable because we have the option of rewinding, or going back to the network for a 5th replay.

I wish 2K Games got sick of the Attitude Era.

When the product becomes as popular as it was during that time period then people will stop talking about it. You had millions of viewers every week. Millions. Everybody was watching wrestling. It was everywhere. Until it explodes like that again, people will always look back at the Attitude Era and remember it fondly. Pretty much. I think people are more nostalgic for the popularity, the crowds, and the electricity more than the actual product itself.

I don't need birthing hands, crucifixions, HLA, Dr. Hiney, old ladies in their underwear, humping corpses, Kennel matches, dog poop matches, or unprotected chair shots to enjoy wrestling. I love watching the athleticism in the ring. And that is where the attitude Era was severely lacking IMO.
ECW as a whole wasn't very good. I like the realism of it, but that was about it. But when you only showcase the positives on a two hour DVD you can make anything look better than it was.

I miss 2000. That was one of the most perfect years in WWE history IMO, good story's, great matches, the tag team division was on fire & new stars were being built (Jericho, Angle, the other Canadian Chris, Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley's). With the roster they have today, if they could get some decent storylines out WWE could be popular again.

Despite the sophomoric angles, everyone on the roster got onto a 2 hour broadcast and was given time. We have 3 hour Raws now. When was the last time Luke Harper was on tv? There's a lot of talent who can't find way onto a 3 hour show.

Nope. The Attitude Era was awesome. ECW was awesome. The Monday Night Wars, flipping channels, having toys and t-shirts from every company, watching guys jump around, the ridiculous antics, the ridiculous stories, I loved it all.

I grew up during the attitude era and i am TOTALLY sick of it. Everything on WWE network, all the dvds etc. As for ECW, I still find it entertaining. I wish WWE would put more content on the network dealing with pre attitude era stuff. Documentaries about life in WWF during the Hogan era etc.

The AE contained Stone Cold Steve Austin......so f*ck no I will NEVER tire of it. AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE..... I can't imagin wrestling without Stone Cold. When that glass shattered, and the crowd popped, you knew sone one was getting their ass whipped, some beers were getting tossed and smashed, and a bunch of middle fingers would be waving. Now the WHAT chant, thats something I'd gladley erase from history.

Some aspects, I get sick of WWE now for not getting as popular despite having more resources to do so then they had previously.
