WWE ALL-STAR TEAM
Here are my picks for WWE's mid-season all-star team. Feel free to agree or disagree...and tell me why. I'm not including WWE NXT stars on my team, but I have a feeling a few of next year's all-star spots will be taken by current NXT stars. Be sure to check out tomorrow's post, when I name my mid-season MVP.
Here they are, in no particular order:
NEW DAY - The New Day had seen better days before the P.O.P. (Power of Positivity) chased those blues away. As one of the most entertaining groups in the WWE, New Day is looking to become 2-time Tag Champs at Battleground. New…Day Rocks!
BROCK LESNAR - Brock Lesnar may not always be around but when he is, he’s the most intimidating Superstar in the WWE. Nobody voluntarily takes the trip to Suplex City…and for good reason. The Beast Incarnate won’t stop until he gets what he wants; the WWE World Heavyweight Championship…and when he gets it, he still will show his dominance at the top of the WWE.
NIKKI BELLA - Say what you want about Nikki Bella, but she improves every week, beats every Diva in sight, and is one of the longest reigning Divas Champions ever. 2015 is her best year to date, as it's going to take a lot to take that Divas Championship away from her.
JOHN CENA - The Champ Is Here! But this time, The United States Champ Is Here! John Cena - WWE Universe has willingly stepped out of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture to help bring prestige back to the United States Championship, resulting in some of the best matches of his illustrious career.
KEVIN OWENS - It would be difficult to find a WWE Superstar who has made such an impact in a short amount of time the way that Kevin Owens has. His matches with John Cena are instant classics and Owens will look to win the United States Championship at Battleground.
CESARO - Before the unfortunate injury to Tyson Kidd, he and Cesaro - WWE were on the path to become the best tag team of 2015. Currently a singles competitor, Cesaro has shown off his in-ring skills and is garnering the respect and appreciation of the WWE Universe. The second-half of 2015 may be Cesaro’s for the taking.
SHEAMUS - Sheamus made his 2015 debut the night after WrestleMania 31 and has been on a roll ever since. The Celtic Warrior, and now Mr. Money in the Bank, will look to seize the right opportunity to cash-in his briefcase and continue his scorching hot 2015.
ROMAN REIGNS - The WWE Universe may not have favored the way Roman Reigns won the 2015 Royal Rumble but he has shown this year that he is truly deserving of being in the main-event picture. Other Superstars have prevented him from winning gold but it’s only a matter of time before my wife’s favorite Superstar finally gets what he deserves. Believe that.
SETH ROLLINS - With the heist of the century, Seth Rollins didn’t wait for the Roman Reigns/Brock Lesnar match to end at WrestleMania 31. Instead, he inserted himself into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, making it a triple threat, and won the title, making him the first member of the broken-up Shield to win the ‘big one’. He’s gained many enemies along the way, with Brock Lesnar being the most recent. The two take on each other at Battleground for Rollins’ title, and if Seth can defeat Lesnar, there will be no doubt in anybody’s mind that Seth Rollins really is the Undisputed Future of the WWE.
DEAN AMBROSE - This man has put on some of the more memorable matches of this first half of 2015. Like his pal Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose hasn’t been able to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but the time for the Lunatic Fringe will eventually come. For now, he will keep on showing why he is one of the favorites among the WWE Universe.
MANAGER - Paul Heyman
COACHES - J&J Security
I hope you enjoyed this post. All of the wrestler write-ups were written by my son Dewey. I think he did an excellent job!
