Neither The Undertaker nor Sting has competed in a WWE ring since WrestleMania, but reports suggest both legendary performers could appear at August's SummerSlam event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio , both The Phenom and The Icon are reportedly scheduled to take part in WWE's biggest show of the summer.
Furthermore, PWInsider is reporting that The Deadman is expected to appear on Monday's edition of Raw following Sunday's Battleground pay-per-view.
Although it is not clear if Taker might be part of Battleground in St. Louis as well, Richard Gray of WrestlingNewsWorld.com is hearing that he will be present:

It's unclear if The Undertaker and Sting are expected to work matches at SummerSlam, but it would be significant if they do. The Phenom hasn't competed at a pay-per-view other than WrestleMania since Bragging Rights 2010, while The Vigilante's only WWE match was a loss to Triple H on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Fans have long dreamed of a clash between The Undertaker and Sting, and it could potentially happen at SummerSlam. There are other options on the table as well, though, with Brock Lesnar and Bray Wyatt standing out as potential opponents for Taker and Sting, respectively.

I say have them both win their own big matches. Then end the show with a stare down between the two. If you insist on doing it, just save it till WM.

It would be interesting if somehow Taker could be the deciding factor in the main event on Sunday and cost Brock from winning the title back. I do think it's highly unlikely that Taker would turn heel, but he wouldn't be received as such with the fans.
This could set up a rematch with Brock at SummerSlam, in which Sting could run in and help babyface Brock against the seemingly Authority sided Taker and then we work towards their Mania match in Dallas.

The Undertaker looked horrible at WM. Wyatt had an ankle injury and still had to slow down for him. I have no interest in seeing him wrestle anymore.

I'm all for 'Taker coming back at Battleground. I'm all for him vs. Lesnar in a grudge match at Summerslam.
I lose interest once Sting gets shoehorned in that.

Sting vs Taker at SummerSlam with Sting going over would be ideal. Then having Sting & Taker team up at Survivor Series against whomever only to lead to Taker vs Sting where Taker goes over. Then they both can be on their way. If Sting goes into the WWE and loses every big match he has, all he will have done is prove everything he said was absolutely right. Vince McMahon & WWE will never use "someone else's" talent properly.

Could be cool , have sting turn heel defeat taker at summerslam , have sting be built up as a dark unstoppable force then undertaker returns early next year for them to have a rematch at mania where taker goes over

It'd be interesting to see Kane feud against the Authority, Taker helps his brother, Sting helps Taker, leading to a sux man tag at SS

I'd be good with this! ^ Im skipping Summer Slam in my home town to save money for WM which is thousands of miles away. If they booked Sting vs Taker for SS I'd be devastated. I like the stare down idea. |
