Earlier on in this thread today I said how I bet Cena vs. Rollins in a Title vs. Title match will take place at SummerSlam, thus no rematch with Kevin Owens, and from what I read about Raw tonight, I see Cena and Rollins went face to face about the WWE Title. So I think its safe to say there won't be now Cena vs. Owens for the US Title in any type of match at SummerSlam this year.

He hasn't been buried. I do agree that Owens should have won at Battleground but it wasn't a burial.

It was a title match for a title they are trying to make prestigious again there was no way a guy still in a program for the NXT title was going to win the US championship. Having the NXT titles on RAW and SD gives them more credibility, but having a main roster belt on NXT loses prestige, because to the WWE NXT is still their "minor leagues" if it wasn't you would have the World Heavywight title and every other main roster title being defended on NXT and not their own titles.
As for Owens I think he came out great in this field. Not everyone watches, ROH, Indies or NXT. Before his three matches with Cena I saw him wrestle once and that was his NXT PPV debut. And after that show I wasn't the least bit impressed with him. So he comes to the main roster and is showcased in three high profile matches vs Cena and I must say he impressed me in every one of those matches. I found him very entertaining and talented. And I am sure I am not the only one who saw him for the first time and was higuly impressed with him. If he keeps up that level that he was performing at during those three matches he will be fine. There is nothing he needs to be saved from.

Owens will most likely answer the next US title open challenge. About 15 minutes into the match, Rollins will cost Cena the match. Owens ties up the feud, and Cena can move back into the WWE title picture without looking weak.
