X-Men The Last Stand
So we watched this last night and holy crap...... I hated it and I mean hated it. I remember seeing this in theatres and thinking it was ok, not great, but not horrible like many other people were saying at the time. Even watching it when it first came out on DVD, again I thought not bad. BUt this was the fist time I had seen it in years and it is just plain bad. The only thing I thought was cool was the bit at the start in the danger room. I hated the Phoenix. I also hated the way they killed Cyclops and then no one really have a crap and it was like it was no big deal at all! The more I think about it the more every little thing annoys me about this movie lol.
Tonight we are watching X-Men Origins Wolverine although after last nights viewing I might need an X-Men break for a few days.

TLS did BIG numbers in 2006 for sure.....and it beat out Superman Returns which really had the folks at WB scratching their heads. I still say Ratner gets too much flak for this. He was left saddled with a hodge podge of Vaughns & Singers ideas. NEVER let us forget that Jones as Juggernaut was Vaughns idea and that if Singer had done this? He wanted Sigourney Weaver as Emma Frost. My GOD.

Bryan Singer really screwed us over on that one.

Over last two nights we have watched two more X-Men movies. X-Men Origins Wolverine: I enjoyed this when I saw it in theatres and dare I say I enjoyed it even more watching it again. It is not a perfect movie by any means, but a damn good action movie where you can turn your brain off and just enjoy Wolverine kicking some ass. Deadpool is just horrible I admit, but I actually really like this movie. I know this movie got a lot of hate and I can see why, but it is still a movie I had a lot of fun with. X-Men First Class: We watched this last night and again I really enjoyed it. The 1960's setting is very well done and I am usually a guy who takes things like set design for granted, but they did an amazing job with this movie. One thing that I never noticed the first couple of times I watched this was Magneto's accent. It was like by the end of the movie when they were on the beach he said ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) it and did not even try lol. So far in the re watching of the X-Men movie, The Last Stand is the only one I have not enjoyed. With four movies to go I think the original X-Men so far is my favourite. Tonight we are watching The Wolverine which I remember enjoying, but for some reason out of all the X-Men movies it is the one I remember the least. Also for some reason I own it on both DVD and Blu Ray and have no clue how it happened!

I was left cold by XMO Wolverine in the cinema but admit I enjoyed it a LOT more on the 2nd watch and as part of my X-Marathon in 2014 before we went to see DOFP. Loved Reynolds as pre Deadpool and enjoyed a lot of the stuff in there. Blob is so bad though......just so bad. First Class is VERY enjoyable to me still. I feel Vaughn missed a GOLDEN opportunity to tease Sinister in the Nazi scenes but its a movie I enjoy tremendously. Your on point about Fassbenders accent too......by the end? Magneto is as Irish as it gets.....LOL. That's something MF struggled with earlier in his career though. Vaughn justifies it by saying he didn't care because according to him? "Magneto was so well travelled who are we to judge what he sounds like" I think there were better people than January Jones for Emma too...and that brings me to one of my few irks with DOFP. I would like to know what happened to Banshee & Emma. Its established they are dead...but how? pet peeve of mine.

Fassbender still struggles with his accent.. It breaks through so many times during Steve Jobs..
He has gotten better tho.

So we watched The Wolverine last night and I really enjoyed it. Crazy how jacked up Hugh Jackman got for this movie! This was a brutal movie.... not in a bad way I mean the fight scenes. I felt as far as the action goes that this is the most hard hitting of the X-Men movie. I loved the setting and the story, my only issue was really with the villains. Neither Silver Samurai or Viper really did anything for me, but still I was able to enjoy the movie. I loved the part on the bullet train and the visual of Logan going towards the tower while being attacked by ninjas was just awesome. I actually wish this scene went on a bit more and had more Logan fighting the ninjas before he was caught. The end credits scene is my favourite of any super hero movie it really got me excited when I first saw it in theatres. Days Of Future Past is a book that I have read probably 20 times in my life and it was my favourite arc (even with the changes) in the X-Men animated series as a kid. Still I feel that this should not have been the end credits scene. It would have been better as the actual ending to the movie, but hey that is just my opinion. So yeah, The Wolverine gets two big thumbs up from me ![:)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/smiley.gif) I enjoyed it the first couple times I saw it, but I enjoyed it even more watching it this time.

Looks like Zoe Saldana is confirmed for Infinity War...hope they can do everyone justice with such a huge cast...! Agreed. I know they've done a better than decent job at shifting focus around in every movie so far with multiple leads...but I'm concerned that this is turning into a melting pot movie. I don't think we need EVERYONE thrown into this. I'd be fine with a rounded down Avengers team, Strange, and the GOTG teaming up. Maybe a 5-1-5 thing. So the focus is only on 11 heroes and Thanos.

I trust Marvel totally at this point. Folks being surprised when they announce big characters from other movies kinda puzzles me. It was obvious since day 0 the GOTG were gonna be a part of this IMHO...Strange, Black Panther, Cap, IM, WM, Falcon, Vision, Hawkeye, Spidey, TWS, BW, Hulk, Thor & Captain Marvel are all gonna feature in some way or another....
I'm also interested as to who Thanos Lts will be in this movie. He wont be on his own.....Tytus, Morg etc would be cool.

I trust them JokerFC - they've added Phylicia Rashad to the cast of Black Panther! (Obviously I don't just trust them 'cos of that) ![:)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/smiley.gif) ...wonder if Thane would be a possibility for a follower/subordinate...

Watched Days Of Future Past last night and it is just such a damn good movie. I would actually put this in my top five comic book movies of all time. There is honestly nothing about this that I do not like.
I think the ending with Wolverine in the school with Jean and Cyclops was just perfect and if the series had ended then and they decided to reboot the whole thing a few years down the line then I think it would have worked.

I'm getting more and more interested in Infinity War as the weeks go on. The Russos showed with Civil War that they can really balance multiple Characters and stories.....plus they have 2 movies. I bet we see tons of folks in the first movie that wont make it to the 2nd

That would be another great addition to the MCU

I read that too; I can't think of anyone else involved in the Infinity War (Gauntlet) who he could portray...but that would mean Adam Warlock could be a possibility too...?! Hope so. Love that comic. Its so heavily rumoured that Gunn has been left with the responsibility of introducing Adam Warlock......we all know the story with the cocoon in The Collectors place......post credit scene in GOTG 2 maybe? Maybe the explosion in GOTG shook him loose?

We came to the end of our X-Men marathon over the last two days and I wanted to share my thoughts ![:)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/smiley.gif) Deadpool: This was just awesome. How can you not like Deadpool? I really do not know what they could have done to make this movie better. I loved everything about it. Ryan Renolds just absolutely nailed it and I cannot see what else they introduce in Deadpool 2. I really cannot think of anything esle to say about Deadpool other than I loved it and it is the kind of movie I could probably sit through time and time again. X-Men Apocalypse: I do not think I have wanted to love a comic book movie as much as I did with this one...... I liked it, but there was just something missing and I am not sure what. I loved Quicksilver and his part saving people from the mansion was just awesome. I liked the new Cyclops, Jean Grey to be honest was the only character that did not really do anything for me. Then we have Apocalypse. Apocalypse is one of my favourite characters in the X-Men universe (Mr Sinister and for some odd reason Sauron are the other main two) and while not horrible this is just not how I imagined Apocalypse would look in real life. This to be fair is more my issue than an issue with the movie. I thought the Wolverine cameo was pretty cool, but the bit with him and Jean Grey was kind of creepy with how young she looked. In all it was a decent movie, but I think it did not live up to X-Men Days Of Future Past. So is Logan the end for the X-Men movies?

We dunno if its the end or what timeline it even happens in for sure man......but there heavy rumors of an absolute 100% reboot of the movies. They had a great shot at that with DOFP but they muddied the waters with the Logan cameo in Apocalypse. the lukewarm response to Apocalypse has go the bigwigs at Fox thinking. They need the X-franchise to be a winner again because Trank absolutely murdered the FF......
