Captain America comics exist in the MCU. It obvious just like for Cap, in their universe someone decided to write comic books about the X-Men and their adventures. That's why Logan says "Maybe a quarter of it happened, but nothing like this." So does Logan take place in the First Class continuity/universe? I took it that the comics were stories of the xmen from that Era based on their costumes. Its impossible to say where it takes place at this point......is it the DOFP fixed timeline? is it the far flung future of the 1st Class timeline? is it stand alone like Deadpool? I think myself its the natural sequel to The Wolverine.....so it happens in the DOFP fixed timeline. which will be a shame. That 2nd trailer was much better though

Aside from Nebula? I wonder who Thanos Lts will be? you just KNOW he will bring some heavy hands with him.....just not sure who Marvel has the rights too from the galactic heavy hitters....Blastaar, Annihilus, Firelord, Morg, Terrax etc etc etc. Obviously we have to wait and see if there's fallout, but it looks like Nebula is joining the Guardians in GOTGV2. So, unless something happens, she's out. It would almost have to be a new character. I hope that isn't the case to be honest.....I know she was with the squad in the poster and all? But I don't want her turning.....

I've come to the realization that the best way to enjoy the X-Men movies is to take them each as a stand alone film. Besides the first and X-2, their timeline is a jumbled mess. And someone will go mad trying to make sense of it all.
So that being said, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest, if this movie isn't really a direct sequel to any other Jackman Wolverine movies.

I'm definitely more excited for Power Rangers than Logan at this point as far as March releases go.. But I'll definitely go support Hugh Jackman's "final outing" as Wolverine.. We can say what we want about the X-Men franchise and it's lackluster but I am so happy we had Hugh Jackman.. The guy clearly gave a sh*t about this character and morphed his entire career around it. He will always be Wolverine to me.. Respect him a great deal.

No doubt about it, the character of Logan essentially made Jackman's career. And I could only think of one thing to do with the state of Fox's X-Men movies lately ![](http://66.media.tumblr.com/0eafc281d79649ad2efad38e2e15c686/tumblr_o6888ukGSO1s8uqbvo2_500.gif)

I know they can't do everything from the Infinity Gauntlet miniseries, but remember, she was the one who stole the Gauntlet and undid all the bad crap that Thanos had done.

I almost fully expect everyone to be killed and everything to be ruined.. Only for the Time Gem to restore it all. They clearly set this up in Doctor Strange.

bit.ly/2iVJqyMBig Vin still wants Inhumans to be a film (as do I - and many others I'd wager) but it seems there's no hope for it happening. Bugger. That Legion show starts next month - reckon it'll be any good? This is just me man but I reckon it'll be Shiite. It wont be able to use any of the good X-Universe characters.....will it even be able to use the characters relevant to him? probably not.

Does this confirm the rumor that the other character Vin Diesel signed on for was Blackbolt?
I mean everyone sorta suspected that was it, but his interest in the Inhumans movie kinda makes that official in my eyes.

Don't get me wrong. I love me some Vin Diesel. I really do.
But I have a hard time seeing him playing a hero. It's much easier for me to imagine him playing a villain. I would probably write him off completely if it wasn't for Batista killing it as Drax. I didn't expect him to work as a hero at all but it did. So I have faith in the MCU. I'm sure whatever he does other than Groot will be fantastic and leave me with no choice but to admit I was wrong.

It might do man.....I always felt Diesel would have been ok as Black Bolt but better as Maximus.

So Hugh Jackman says that Logan doesn't really take place in any established live action X-Continuity. Then James Mangold said on twitter that's not actually what Jackman said. Now both are saying it does AND doesn't take place in the established cinematic timeline........
All the while Fox greenlights a series to tie into the X-men movies. Loeb & Marvel TV will have a hand in it......first time collaboration.
Confusion reigns.......I'm wondering was there a load of staff transferred from WB to Fox last year?

Iron Fist set to drop on St Patrick's Day(first time I won't see a Netflix marvel show the day it drops) and seemingly Punisher WILL take a bow in 2017 on Netflix too.
Iron Fist in March
Defender's in August/September
Punisher in November/December.
Hell yes....Make mine Marvel.

I figured we wouldn't see it until next March.

They are notorious for moving the goalposts.....

Or came back in some directing capacity.. He is literally one of the founding fathers.

Newest rumors are that Disney is aggressively trying to buy full rights back to Spider Man from Sony. And that Sony is finally interested.
So fingers crossed.
