We need to update the poll here, remove the stuff that's come out Just change your vote man. That's what I've been doing......I update to the next one after I've seen something. Inhuman's looks good. I'm a stickler for BB's mask though.....would like to remain. I feel its an important feature of his character. Wonder how the Royal Family and the events of AOS will intertwine?

I think Inhumans look real bad right here in the promo image.
Like, they 100% look like TV actors dressed in TV clothing for a TV show.. And while I know this is a TV show they could do a little bit more with these characters considering the roll out they're doing with IMAX..
This is another example of me wishing they weren't wasting Black Bolt on a TV show.. Same feeling I have for Punisher and Daredevil. These are 3 characters that deserve to be in the MCU next to the rest of the ensemble.

First look at The Inhumans: I'm stoked! I want to be stoked, but I think this is one time we actually disagree brother. I think this looks like people cosplaying at SDCC. Crystal does look good. I'll definitely say that...but I feel like Black Bolt is going to be one of those "you have to see the actor's face all the time because he's the money shot...so no mask" bullcrap things. If they monkey things around so he can talk? I'm 100% out and not looking back. Also, I had to go to the EW article to make sure that was supposed to be Gorgon and Karnak. As a comic fan, if it wasn't obvious to me who these people are supposed to be...that's not great.

I enjoyed Guardians 2, but I didn't love it. At times it feels very over indulgent, but still a very fun time. Some of the jokes feel a lot more forced this time, didn't have that same natural flow like the first film. Drax in particular suffers from this. Half the time, he steals the movie. The other half, it feels too much like he's just there for a punchline.
7.5/10

There's a crazy rumor out there that Stan Lee is... Uatu the Watcher
And that is why he has a cameo is every Marvel film. Because he's watching all the heroes.
Kinda hope it's true. Boy, do I feel like a HORSES ASS!

As a comic fan, if it wasn't obvious to me who these people are supposed to be...that's not great. That's absolutely fine! All good - I respect that and concede me saying 'stoked' was more about FINALLY seeing something to do with The Inhumans - been a fan for a long long time. I agree, it's not perfect but it's something and I'm just trying to be optimistic. But yeah...I can see that. So many questions still... I get you. I can totally understand that. I was looking forward to this when it was supposed to be a movie. When I heard it was coming to television, I was more than a little hesitant. Then I read this yesterday: comicbook.com/marvel/2017/05/04/marvels-inhumans-the-challenge-of-creating-medusas-hair-on-tv/Seems like they're having a difficult time animating Medusa's hair. I'm also cringing a little at how he's downplaying their powers. It strikes me more like he's trying to soften the blown for when we go multiple episodes without the characters using their powers due to cost...or...if the final CGI effects look like shit. I don't want you to think I'm trying to dampen your enthusiasm for the show though, I'm just personally not as excited as I once was. On that note, I have to admit that the Defenders trailer doesn't pump me up like it seems to be doing for others either. I think the show definitely looks good, but after hearing how amazing the trailer was supposed to be, I watched it and ended up going "ok, cool...?" I just didn't get the hype behind it.

Honestly, I'm skeptical of the quality of Inhumans based entirely on the fact that Scott Buck is the showrunner. Considering he was the guy in charge during the complete collapse of Dexter and was the showrunner for Iron Fist - which, while I enjoyed it, still had some big flaws.
Definitely would have more faith in it if it were still going forward as a film.

It strikes me more like he's trying to soften the blown for when we go multiple episodes without the characters using their powers due to cost...or...if the final CGI effects look like crap. I think the show definitely looks good, but after hearing how amazing the trailer was supposed to be, I watched it and ended up going "ok, cool...?" I just didn't get the hype behind it. Appreciate that a ton. Yes - I would have wanted it to be a film as well, so as to stand alongside the other entities in the MCU. I remember Vin Diesel wanting to be Black Bolt, which was an interesting choice, then it just fading away and bam - 'okay, it's gonna be a show.' When you hear off-the-cuff comments about it being doomed to fail from the start, you wonder if there is an element of truth in it...or you do what I do and just retreat and read the comics again... Interesting article...and I agree, the guy did seem to downplay their powers. I remember seeing a behind-the-scenes thing on The Incredibles back in the day, and the animators spoke about how hard it was to animate Vi's hair - but that was over a decade ago - surely technology has come some way since then to help better animate hair? Or maybe I'm ignorant, I don't know, but yeah, I'll be gutted if it looks like s**t... The Inhumans to me are Marvel royalty and I hope to see that translated to screen...my bias is showing but you know...I'm not asking for Marvel's Game of Thrones, just something to be engrossed in. Very much so. Especially since we (so far anyway) can't have the X-Men in the MCU, I feel like the Inhumans would have been a good alternative. They're a great group of characters and they have a rich history and some great stories behind them. I was behind Vin. He's not the world's best actor, but when all he has to do is look stoic, reflective, or muscular? How do you not take him up on it? I recall that as well. I also remember some interviews around the time that Brave came out, and the animators said they had a dickens of a time getting Merida's hair right because it was so lush and full, but they took the time and made it look phenomenal. Same with Rapunzel in Tangled. I think what it breaks down to is that because it's a show instead of a movie now, they're not going to sink part of the budget into or devote the time and a whole unit of animators to Medusa's hair. Which is disconcerting to me. I know she's made up of more parts than her hair, but when you want to sell new people on the idea of the queen of the Inhumans, the coolest thing you can tell them is "Wait until you see her living hair!" Now? "Well, she has a telepathic link to Black Bolt and talks for him." The response to that could wind up being: "So, she's a secretary?"

I don't think Vin Diesel just wanted to be Black Bolt, I think he was all but confirmed to be Black Bolt.. Groot was the secondary character he signed on for in the MCU, he was originally brought in for a completely different character which I remember back in 2014/15 was all but confirmed to be Black Bolt in the planned feature. He was even vocal about the TV show when it was announced a while back.. He wasn't happy. I'm not a HUGE Vin Diesel fan.. But give me Vin as Black Bolt all day.. Seriously.

I hope they tap into the richness of how unique they are, their history with the Kree (which was broken in with GOTG) and the Terrigen Mists...there's just so much cool stuff they could do...if it were a film. Now that it's a show you're right, there will obviously be some drawbacks but I'm hoping they do it justice where possible. Plus, Lockjaw and Triton - how do they get around them, I wonder... I wonder if they'll save Lockjaw and Triton for season two. They might be waiting for ratings before seeing if they'll sink more money into the budget to do those two characters.

Watch Guardians of the galaxy 2 with the family. We loved it. A very fun movie, I agree Drax was awesome, but his laugh felt very forced anx hapoened a little to often. The Mary Poppins line had me laughing so hard. Stan Lee's cameo also had me laughing hard.

A couple of musings on The Inhumans/Diesel as Black Bolt.
If the TV show has Black Bolt being able to speak in any way shape or form without levelling a mountain? I'll drop it like a hot turd and NEVER look back.
Also I never bought into the fact that Diesel wanted to playa character that couldn't talk and I was delighted he didn't get the gig. His star power(ego) would have dictated that the character speak.....and I reckon its here we find the issue.
Karl Urban as Dredd was just so unique in that he kept the character pure to the comics and kept the f*ckin helmet on for the entire movie. We will likely never see it again in terms of actor commitment.

Just saw the GOTG 2 and all I can say is.... I'm a 39 year old grown man, and yet these films continue to make me cry like a b*tch. They are just so well written and so well acted, you just can't help but to love these characters.
