We're going on week 3 since Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 hit theaters over here in the US.. And I haven't said much about it but I need to stress something to my fellow WFig Marvel fans. Ego The Living Planet is one of the best villains Marvel has had since it started. I've seen this movie twice and even 3 weeks since release, I still think back to Kurt Russell as Ego.. I was really impressed by everything he did, and the material he was given. I mean I absolutely loved Kurt Russell as Ego.. And it's one of the first times in recent memory with Marvel where I felt TRUE danger for the characters.. There were many moments when the final battle was happening after he became the Living Planet where I actually felt dread for our heroes.. Like they honestly might not make it out.. I'm actually really disappointed that we'll never see Kurt Russell's Ego again in the MCU. That is all. I agree, I believe the MCU has problems of making memorable villains, but Ego was so well done and I'm still thinking of Kurt's performance weeks later. I wish we could see him again, he was easily one of the best MCU Villains.

I love all of it, except the talking suit. Lil too much like Jarvis for my liking.
International trailer is better...

Spiderman looks great. I hope this version finally sticks and we don't get another reboot a few years from now

What is going on with Marvel posters lately? The official Spider-Man: Homecoming poster might be the worst poster I've seen them put out so far.. The worst part is these are professionals.. They work at a major movie studio.. And it looks like bad Photoshop. Maybe Sony did this.. Or maybe not. I also thought GotG vol 2 poster was absurdly odd looking.. But even then it was miles and miles above this one.. atleast that one looked 100% professional..

I like the feel of those posters (both the gaudy colorgasm and the b&w "band against the wall" shot). This? Is kind of terrible. Kind of really terrible. *Why does Iron Man need to be featured prominently? *Why do Peter, Tony, AND Vulture all need to be unmasked AND in costume on the same poster? *What's with the odd cityscape at the bottom too? New York on the left and DC on the right? *Either put Shocker on the poster, or leave him off, but what they did looks like they forgot he was in the movie and crammed him in at the last second. *It looks amateurish to put different sized headshots of May, MJ, and Toomes and mix in a torso shot of Happy Hogan in the middle of it. While we're at it, Listen, I'm a big fan of both Favreau and Tomei, but they don't need to be on this poster either. Nobody is going to go see this movie just because they found out Jon Favreau was in it.

I feel like all these Spider-Man trailers have given the whole movie away. I hate when they give away too much.

I dig that the poster uses Star Wars posters as inspiration but I agree, it's poorly done.

See the Homecoming posters BEFORE this poster were actually pretty awesome..
But this "official" poster is really bad.. And it's disappointing MAINLY because odds are that is the poster that ends up on the blu ray case.

I see Disney eventually calling off the deal and writing Peter off as having "gone to college." Once Sonys new franchise fails, they come crawling back looking for another deal, with Disney only interested in buying the movie rights completely back or no deal.

I still think Sony is trying to pull some shady sh*t right now.. man I couldn't agree more.......Venom movies and all sorts. Cant help but wonder what the thinking is behind that one. A majority of your general audience wouldn't be able to tell if Sony pulled the Marvel deal.. So you have all of these casual movie goers that get roped into this new and awesome Spider-Man movie.. Marvel does the heavy lifting, re establishing the brand.. BOOM. Sony pulls the deal and tries to coast off the new found glory. But this is all just speculation.. I'm more than positive The Mouse has a bullet proof legal team that sits around waiting for a mother f***er to mess with a legally binding contract involving Walt Disney.. Same legal team that sends cease and desist letters to grocery stores that use Mickey Mouse designs on birthday cakes.. So I'm not crazy worried.

I'm still annoyed that the genuinely brilliant Hardy is Venom and that We wont get a proper build to the character. Bah.

Yeah no point in a Venom movie if Spider-Man isn't involved.
