I think some of you guys are mistakenly under the impression that just because Infinity Wars is no longer a "part 1/part 2" type of event, that they both won't directly affect one another. The titles have changed, but the filming both films back to back has not.. Both screenplays are still being written simultaneously and the release dates haven't changed.. Both movies are coming out within a year of each other.. Same story, different titles. While I'm sure one movie will still affect the other, it doesn't sound like a "To Be Continued..." scenario is playing out here. I'm still thinking one is going to take place in space while the other is taking place on Earth.

The titles have changed, but the filming both films back to back has not.. Both screenplays are still being written simultaneously and the release dates haven't changed.. Both movies are coming out within a year of each other.. Same story, different titles. I still think while it will be a connected conflict each movie will have its own beginning, middle and end though. Like a Star Wars film. Whereas the part one and part two titles made it seem like it was on split movie, more along the lines es if The last Harry Potter, which it isn't. I personally believe it's a 2 part story being told over 2 movies.. I don't think it'll end on a cliff hanger or anything, but it's definitely going to be a Thanos story spread over both films with the resolution of both being at the end of the 2019 movie. I think the poor box office reception of two part films has received a bad rap with the general audience. And Marvel decided it's best to separate itself from that trend right now and get it out of peoples heads. They 100% planned on Infinity War being Part 1 and Part 2 though. For marketing reasons I believe they switched it up.. I think this part is key to what he's saying.. It's not connected, but it's connected type of situation.. I agree, no "to be continued".. But it's the same story playing out over 2 films, probably 2 locations.

Very excite! After finishing Daredevil season 2 recently, I'm ready for Cage. Thanks for sharing. Edit: Have a look at the new Shocker (Homecoming)

Edit: Have a look at the new Shocker (Homecoming) another nice piece of casting from Marvel......this movie is coming together nicely. I'm assuming we see some fashion of trailer/teaser before years end?

I expected this too Chris.....IMO? It makes sense to change things. On Suicide Squad? It didn't beat Cap man........Cap opened to a 179m weekend. Suicide Squad opened to a 133m. IMO its great to see The Squads success.... but sadly Will" I'm the same guy in every movie" Smith will likely get the credit for this from the tuned out clowns at WB for his Mike Lowry impersonation in a Deadshot costume. The Crowds came to see Joker & Harley........and rightfully so.

Might have liked Joker had we seen more of him. Verdict is still out as far as I'm concerned.

Suicide Squad also marketed towards a more urban crowd.. Crowds that ain't showing up to any other Marvel OR DC movie.. The crowd that remembers The Joker in The Dark Knight and ONLY The Dark Knight. Weed smokin', Timberland wearing, Cadillac driving, fornicators.

LOL Last time I trust my local comic shop then. Box Office is only a feat when the movie isn't garbage.. Like, making money doesn't impress me unless you deserve the money.. Sausage Party and Pete's Dragon are both releasing this weekend and they're both getting phenomenal reviews so far. Suicide Squad will drop to #3 or #4 this weekend.. And then be forgotten about until the Blu Ray release.
