Box Office is only a feat when the movie isn't garbage.. Like, making money doesn't impress me unless you deserve the money.. Sausage Party and Pete's Dragon are both releasing this weekend and they're both getting phenomenal reviews so far. Suicide Squad will drop to #3 or #4 this weekend.. And then be forgotten about until the Blu Ray release. ...again...no argument here. Anyway - White Tiger pilot shot for Netflix? mcuexchange.com/marvel-has-reportedly-shot-a-white-tiger-pilot-short-for-netflix/

You kinda make it seem like I'm attacking your posts with rage lol. You post something to share and possibly spark conversation, I quote it and share my opinion. No hard feelings anywhere!

Definitely a respectable number.. The marketing for this movie was brilliant yet deceptive. Take 60% of everything Joker related out of the marketing and we're all having a different discussion on the box office results.. Like if they marketed The Joker in a way that reflects how big his role is in the movie.. The Joker is a BIG reason this movie has made literally half of what it's bringing it. I truly believe that too. The Joker being in this movie and being advertised like he did made half of the entire box office. Which bothers me even more.. WB has full access to a character THAT powerful.

I have considered the Joker to be one half of WB/DCs box office muscle for quite some time.
Batman 89 and The Dark Knight were monsters as we know in their day.......people LOVE The Joker. Harley has also become a HUGE icon through association.
A Batfleck vs LeJoker movie would be a licence to print $$$.
But this is the Marvel thread!!!!
I'm starting to get pumped now for the Dr Strange movie.....I'm excited to see the 3rd trailer scheduled to hit in late September.

Thanks, that's good to know - but I concede that that the phrase 'no argument' is essentially me agreeing with you, and that I have nothing else to add, really. All good, cheers.

Piper Chapman's brother in 'Orange Is The New Black.' Cool. Interested to see him in a different role than the goofy brother.

I'm excited for Doctor Strange.. Mainly because it's a Marvel movie though.. This is the first time in the history of MCU that I'm going to go see a movie because of the Marvel Cinematic brand rather than the character and the story.
Which is amazing if you think about it.

The Marvel brand sold it 100% for so many folks. I know heaps of them!!

I'm gonna throw this out there.. Other than the final battle in Avengers 1, the Hulkbuster vs. Hulk fight in Age of Ultron is one of the best fight scenes in the entire MCU.
I've never not been engaged with that scene when it's on.

The film is unashamedly awesome, fun, moving and all those good things you want in a comic book film.

I've never not been engaged with that scene when it's on. yeah it is.........its absolutely excellent and here's why.....there was heaps of thought put into it. HEAPS. From the reason Hulk spazzes out to the entire function of the suit right down to the fact Banner helped design it. That's why its such a protracted battle. Hulk would have smashed this suit in smithereens in 2 minutes but because Banner & Stark had their heads put together in its design? You buy the fact that Stark is able to hold on & ultimately win. The satellites sending spares to Stark was an ingenious stroke. its in stark(pun intended) contrast to the armored Bats vs Supes showdown in DOJ. Superman could have grabbed Bats disarmed him and told him what was happening to Ma in 20 seconds. The laziness of the script leading up to the scrap beggers belief.

Cap vs an elevator full of Hydra agents is up there as well for me for something a bit left of centre.
