Well it took a bit, but after reading through a bunch of people's tweets, the tears finally started coming. With Dusty and Roddy passing away, we didn't loose two great wrestlers, we lost two great men, and human beings. Just like with Dusty, it's comment after comment, after comment, about how friendly and nice Hot Rod was to people. There will never be another Hot Rod, and the wrestling world is a little worse off because of it.

I'm so sad to hear of the passing of one of the greatest Legends in WWE history. RIP ROWDY RODDY PIPER, you were one of the greatest ever.

There was a quote used when Teddy Roosevelt died, that I think fits for Piper's passing too, obviously I'm changing it up slightly: "Death had to take him sleeping, for if Piper had been awake there would have been a fight"

I usually don't post on these RIP threads but Roddy Piper was the wrestler who got me hooked. I was a casual fan who watched wrestling on Saturday mornings every once in a while until that one time I saw Piper smash a coconut over Snuka's head. He was a major reason I became a fan for life. I pestered my parents endlessly until they broke down and took me to a live WWE event to see Piper in the main event. He may have been the bad guy but he was one of my childhood favorites and remains so to this day.
R.I.P Rowdy Roddy Piper
