While I completely agree with you I don't think punk would have main evented mania but Bryan wouldn't have either had punk stayed. You're right. Punk was never going to main event. They had Bryan sub in for the match Punk was SUPPOSED to have with Triple H, and then they decided to go with the hot hand because Bryan was so over with the crowd and they added him to the main event and put the belt on him instead of Batista. If CM Punk doesn't walk out, Daniel Bryan is a heel and Batista is the WWE Champion. The thing is though, Bryan turned face again before the Rumble and WWE wasn't anticipating Punk walking out. Turning Bryan face had nothing to do with Punk.

Wasn't his contract a 2 year contract though. Yes, but I believe he's intending to sit the rest of it out.

He's not coming back. He's 46 and landed back to back HUGE movie roles. WWE totally screwed him in his last "run". He was supposed to win the title, but the fans turned on him because they thought he "stole" the spot from Daniel Bryan, who originally was NEVER supposed to be anywhere near the WWE title. People forget that WWE turned Daniel Bryan heel and put him in the Wyatt's for a few weeks and then when CM Punk walked out they pulled the plug on that and Daniel Bryan took Punk's spot. it still amazes me that 1) WWE thought Bryan working with the Wyatt's would fly long term 2) People still think it was WWEs plan all along for Bryan to do everything he did on TRTWM last year. It clearly wasn't and as you state man Punk leaving and the fans crapping on Dave changed everything. As stated Bryan turned before Punk left......but Bray beat him clean at RR.....that story WAS NOT done.

If Batista were to return as a face, Survivor Series 2014 would've been the time to do it. He should have been on Team Cena. I still stand by that. Agreed.

Batista said he won't come back to television unless he had creative control.
I believe he's open to working house shoes though.

Personally I've never been a fan of Batista as a face. Heeltista is where it's at and where I feel he shines best. Most definitely

Bryan himself has said in interviews that he was suppose to face Sheamus at WM30 before everything changed not long before the event. If that doesn't show the ineptitude of those in charge behind the scenes I don't know what does.

As always, the more Batista the better. It's simple really.

The last interview I heard from Batista really made it sound like he was at the least annoyed at the WWE. No matter how long the contract was for, no matter what the WWE wanted I have a feeling Batista is done with Hunter.

I don't think it was that they thought Batista stole anything, they just wanted see Bryan headline WrestleMania and wouldn't accept no for an answer.
