I believe he had almost the entire movie voiced over at the time of his death and the redid it after his death. 80-90% was what I always heard was finished when he died. Imagine if he had gotten all of the audio work done before his death, and Shrek was his final legacy.

I agree. Chris Farley's career would have made a massive turn had he been alive to complete his voice work for Shrek. I would say, Farley as Shrek would have allowed him to branch out to other forms of entertainment. All three comedians you listed were awesome at what they did. John Belushi in Ghostbusters would have been a much different film. Same deal with Chris Farley as Shrek. As for John Candy, hard to believe he passed away over twenty years ago. It's a shame he passed as early as he did. I can think of a few guys I would have liked to have seen him work with. Like Kevin Hart and Kevin James Kevin Hart, I am not too sure. As for Kevin James, I can see James and Chris Farley having chemistry.

And actually his small role in Dirty Work is actually his final movie, it came out a month after Almost Heroes.

I'm a fan of the movie too, but it's not a great way for Farley to go out.

splitsider.com/2012/12/the-lost-roles-of-chris-farley/I found this link while researching Chris Farley's career. Had Farley been in the planned third Ghostbusters film, it would have been good. The more I read about Farley and his career, such a shame he passed away too soon.

Heard about this a while back. Would have been awesome but fair play Myers did a great job.
