What you'll find is actually if the conversation comes up, most people will have had interest at some point in their lives. They'll either say they watch it occasionally, or they stil watch it or did 10 years ago. So you will have a common ground with people, a lot of people, like yourself will probably just not like to admit to it to be honest. Do what makes you happy, I'm 22, nearly 23 and still enjoy collecting. My girlfriend is extremely supportive and loves to help where she can and friends have always accepted it. Just be confident, anyone who is so critical of another persons hobby isn't worth your time or effort.

Dude I'm 29 going on 30 and trust me, nobody cares lol. Do what you like with your money. If anyone makes fun of you for it, don't associate with them.
Doesn't Batista collect lunch boxes? Dave freaking Batista. Everyone has a hobby and passion. At 29, I actually have the money to buy what I want and it couldn't feel any better. I even play with my figures and write elaborate angles. I'm living life, man.
At your age, yeah, some girls made fun of me on Facebook for collecting figures but alot of them thought it was cute. My girlfriend who I've been with for almost 6 yrs doesn't mind either. Hell, she even plays with them if she sees them laying about, and she's 27.
At my last job, I even told my boss I was going to need a week off to go to Wrestlemania. My whole office knew I was a giant wrestling fan, and they thought it was cool. I don't hide my Fandom at all. I love pro wrestling. 90% of my apartments decor is pro wrestling related. Why? Because it's my apartment and my money lmao.
Bottom line, it's your life and your money. If you liked My Little Pony I'd give you the same speech. Why? Because I watch the hell out of My Little Pony and dare somebody to make fun of me lol.

Why are you embarrassed about watching wrestling. If watching wrestling and collecting figures embarrass you you should probably stop.

I don't hide my hobby of figure collecting now, but 10-15 years ago I used to, so I do understand. The advice I would give to you, similar to what others here have said, is that part of being (or becoming) a confident person is to make the decision that you're going to live your life the way you want, and that you're not going to change just because of what people who barely know you or people you don't like say or think. Let me tell you from experience - no matter what choices you make in life, there will ALWAYS be people who for one reason or another have a problem with it. That doesn't mean you shouldn't care if your actions hurt other people or you shouldn't listen to the people who are close to you, but collecting figures is not something that harms anyone, and it's not really any different to collecting any other kind of memorabilia, artwork, sculptures, etc. so there's really nothing wrong with it. Everyone has different interests.
You don't need to go out of your way to broadcast that you collect of course, but if it comes up naturally in conversation just go with it, say it proudly and passionately, and try to hide any insecurities or doubt you have. If you don't act like it's a problem then 99% of others won't either. In my experiences POST-school, the vast majority of people I encountered who knew I collected action figures didn't cause me any problems and were either supportive/interested or indifferent. And the simple truth I have learned is that the few people who did try to cause me problems, those sort of people are LOOKING for a reason to be nasty to you. So even if you didn't collect figures, they would soon find something else. And those sort of people are best avoided altogether, or if they refuse to leave you alone despite your best efforts, then the only option left they will understand is conflict, and you will need to show anger and aggression to get them to stop. I'm not saying hit them, I'm just saying get them on their own where nobody else can see or hear you, and ruffle their feathers a bit. Basically you just have to shock them into doubting their belief that you're an easy target who won't fight back. Do that once and they'll almost certainly never bother you ever again.

I'm 36 years old. I have a house full of Leather and Gold. I have Championship Title Belts ranging in sizes for adults, kids, and action figures, and even one that fits like a bracelet. I have even started collecting crowns. Yes, I said (typed) crowns.
My point is, although I understand how you are feeling at 18, you have to understand yourself. You love this $#!+. Don't deny yourself of your love based on what others may think. The only opinion that should matter to you is yours.

Im 20 years old and have been collecting forever. All of my friends knew since we were about 5. Everytime I meet someone knew or a person happens to come into my home for a first time its never a problem. No one is going to care, do not be ashamed. Everybody has hobbies and interests

A lot of people collect a lot of things...and I'd bet you more people won't make fun of you than will.

I'm 96 years old next month, and I still collect. I remember when I was a lad, and my Grandad gave me his old MOC Battle Pack of Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt. Still have it to this day. Seriously though, if you love WWE then it shouldn't matter to anyone else. It's your life, don't forget. Don't waste it on people who don't like you for who you are.

You're reall issue is the fact that you care what others think about how you live your life or what you're into. You need to learn to take pride in who you are. Luckily it will naturally come with age.

Just worry about having fun at college and getting good grades. College is great. Little of what you care about now will even matter soon anymore probably.

I know how you feel. I used to be there. But honestly it isn't a big deal. I'm 21, but years ago I was embarrassed about it. But as time has gone on I have realized that it's silly to feel that way. Every person has a hobby. There's nothing wrong with it. Nobody that matters will judge you, and if they do, they aren't worth your energy. I used to be afraid of what my girlfriend would think, but if she cares about you she won't care. My girlfriend actually goes out hunting for me and encourages it. Just be you and don't worry about others.

I got into collecting my freshman year of college. No one knew, and thirteen years later, mostly everyone knows I collect... My family, wife, friends, students, and coworkers.

There's nothing wrong with liking wrestling in college. Just don't be a fat loser that does nothing but talk wrestling. Go to the gym and get as jacked as possible. Play a sport in your free time. Only wear a wrestling t shirt to the gym. You'll meet other wrestling fans that way, but they won't be the fat loser type of wrestling fan because they'll at least be going to the gym.

Just hide them in your work desk like how fat people hide Snicker's bars, easy fix...then you can gorge on toys at work while no one's watching of course.

I'm 30. I stopped caring a long time ago. My fiancee' is crazy hot. And she buys figures for me. So I won life. Nobody cares about my hobby now. Don't hide that stuff. Just embrace it and be confident about it and people won't care much. Your friends or roommates or whoever might give you a little ribbing, but they're dumb 18 year olds. They don't have any concept of the world outside their little bubble. Their opinions don't matter much. Lmao, I'm about to hit 30 this month and my attitude is 100% like yours. My wife (who I've been with for 11 years) is sexy as can be she loved wrestling back in the attitude era and has a Stone Cold Steve Austin Allstars on her nightstand (which she stole from my collection). We have attended wrestling shows and were in the exact same arena before we even met. Plus I'm a bad ass so no one makes fun. I even got a friend of mine to start collecting and his collection is beast. My advise to you bro is to NOT HIDE WHO YOU ARE. If they judge you for that then keep it moving, you don't need that. Don't let others determine your lifestyle, it's what makes you unique. Hopefully you take all our advise and display the sh*t out of your collection. And who knows maybe you'll find someone with that common interest.
