Butch Jones is a great football coach....but he's a great football coach for the Sun Belt or the ACC...He's not an SEC coach. The level that UT fans want their program to be, Butch cant get them there. At best UT will always be a 7-8 win team and in solid years maybe 9 wins.

If Seth Russell is hurt for a while I guess they won't get Corey Coleman no 30 touchdowns. Darn.

The vols have a way better team this year than the record shows. I like Butchy boy, but losing these close games is getting old.

What UNC is doing to our DBs should not be allowed to be aired on television.

I refuse to discuss what was just aired on ESPN. Ever.

Those ASU throwbacks are great. Yeah, made it a point to make my mom watch the opening ceremony after the Pitt game; dad was a vet and they were ASU alum so a cool little living room moment.

JBL'd be proud of that Clothesline From Hell Oregon's RE just hit on Bercuvici.

PSU obliterated Illinois and made my night infinitely better. Saquon Barkley will probably be tearing up the NFL in a few years and I'm excited for the Nittany Lions future.

Losing another rivalry game last second would've broken my heart. Thank god that wasn't the case.

That Miami/Duke finish was wild, don't see too many (if any) Cal-Stanford Band plays work in any football league in any given year.

1. Clemson 2. LSU 3. TOSU 4. Alabama 5. Notre Dame 6. Baylor 7. Mich St 8. TCU 9. Iowa 10. Florida
Bama #4 is a joke. The rest seem fair. I'm glad to not be #1 anymore, gets the target off their back and will hopefully light a fire under their ass.

Ive got no problem with Bama being #4. 1) It means with this group they're telling you "Stop playing ing cup cake teams" and 2) Bama will play LSU this Saturday so one of those will drop in the polls anyway.

I was really surprised Baylor or Michigan St. wasn't number 4 but the other seem accurate.

Hopefully Stidham and Baylor can put 50+ on K-State tonight so they'll maybe get the respect they deserve. If Alabama or Ohio State had the stats and schedule that Baylor has they'd be #1 in the nation no question.

Baylor isnt going to get any respect until they play Oklahoma, Oklahoma St & TCU because that will be the only time they play any teams even remotely worth a . Baylor & TCU did this same crap last year. They played a schedule full of nobodies and then played each other and both got left out. I realize the Big 12 is a shell of what it use to be but when you have garbage teams like Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa St, Texas Tech etc....you cant go out and schedule OCC games with other garbage teams like SMU & Rice.

I know the rankings being released every Tuesday makes for good TV but I'd be just fine if they only did 3 weeks of rankings. There will always be debates and big games still to come to sort everything out, but when you release your first rankings before LSU/Bama, Clemson/FSU and TCU/Oklahoma State this year there isn't much to gain. And less Joey Galloway on TV is always nice.

Arkansas got saved by that face mask penalty in OT. Missing the first 2 pt conversion attempt almost nullified that crazy 4th down lateral.
