IMO they should have 4 team playoffs in random locations with no connection to a bowl. Then have the following bowl games..
-Rose -Orange -Sugar -Cotton -Fiesta -Peach -Citrus -Gator -Liberty -Holiday -Sun -Independence
That pretty much gives you the top 25 to 30 teams. Instead we get stuck with games like the 1000 Flushes Tidy Toilet Bowl between 6-6 UCONN vs 7-5 Duke

That's exactly what Florida needed, now momentum is 100% on their side.

Definitely no Sugar Bowl for them. I'm 99% sure Oklahoma State gets that slot against Ole Miss. Most likely. I was just blown away when the announcers were saying Baylor was playing for a Sugar Bowl birth...Like how the hell can the 4th team in the Big12 go to the Sugar Bowl? 4th team in the Big12 should be going to the Texas Bowl or something. Had Baylor won, they would have been in a tie for 2nd in the big 12 but with tie breakers would have gotten the sugar bowl And in fairness, we are not a horrid 5 win team, we got screwed against ok st, our stupid kicker missed a pat against cal, and if we make 1 tackle we beat Tech, so we very well could have been a bowl team

I'm happy all 3 of these games are good, close games. The 2nd half of Florida/Bama was a snoozefest.
Edit: Well, they WERE all close. Clemson and Stanford have started to pull away.

Let me say that the fact the game is in Charlotte, NORTH CAROLINA and Clemson has 3/4 if not more of the fans in the stadium is sad. UNC fans should be more excited for this game. They may never get back.

That final MSU drive was intense. So just like last year, chaos was pretty much avoided on Conference Title Saturday and the Top 4 is pretty much set. The New Years 6 bowls will probably be:
Orange Bowl - #1 Clemson vs #4 Oklahoma Cotton Bowl - #2 Alabama vs #3 Michigan State
Sugar Bowl - Oklahoma State vs Ole Miss Rose Bowl - Stanford vs Ohio State Fiesta Bowl - Notre Dame vs Iowa Peach Bowl - Houston vs Florida State
How they rank the Top 4 though is still up in the air. Oklahoma could easily stay at #3 and Michigan State moves to #4 thus playing Clemson instead of Bama, and maybe Bama even moves to #1. Holla at me Jeff Long.

I don't think you can move bama to 1, Clemson was undefeated, they stay at 1
Bama at 2
No clue on the order for the other 2

I think the committee wants to set up Oklahoma vs Bama (which is the traditional CFB schools) so you'll get Clemson vs OU and Bama vs Mich St. Honestly I think its a joke that Houston gets put in one of the big 6 bowl games. Id stick ND or UNC in before them.

I'm gonna guess the final Heisman voting ends something like this:
1. Derrick Henry (RB, Alabama) 2. Christian McCaffrey (RB, Stanford) 3. Deshaun Watson (QB, Clemson) 4. Baker Mayfield (QB, Oklahoma)
My personal vote would go to McCaffrey since he was, in my opinion, the most valuable guy to his team this year.

I want McCaffrey to win. The guy may not have been as statistically as good as Henry, but Stanford simply does not win the PAC 12 without him.
But it'll go to Henry because Bama's in the playoffs.

After tonight I think the Heisman will be down to Deshaun Watson and Derrick Henry. Both had solid performances today.
My playoff ranking would be.
1. Clemson 2. Alabama 3. Oklahoma 4. Michigan St.

Id stick ND or UNC in before them. If that's the case though then they'd probably want Oklahoma vs Alabama in the title game rather than the Cotton Bowl semifinal. My reasoning was just that with the short memories the committee has at times that they'd maybe vault Michigan State over Oklahoma for the 3 seed since they played tonight and Oklahoma didn't. But Michigan State really didn't look good for most of that game so perhaps they will move up just one spot to #4.
