So, me and a few friends of mine were talking about all of the many people that have been excluded thus far in Vince's H.O.F. and we started talking about how we would like to see a requirements list for the future on who they induct and how they induct. Just thought I'd bring the chatter here and see what any one else thought.
First, know that some things were considered to be perfect as far as when it is held and where and stuff like that. Also, we wouldn't omit anyone inducted up to this point although we definitely don't agree with a few (Koko B. Ware for example is a HUGE brain scramble..) But nonetheless, on to the discussion.
So first, we all agreed that unless the person actually made noteworthy contributions to the business, not just in the WWF/WWE, that they should definitely stop feeling obligated to induct someone into the "Celeb Wing" of the hall. I could EASILY do without Arnold, Pete Rose and for sure Drew Carey!
Second, we would love for the breakdown of the inductees each year to include one or two from each generation, if applicable. And you could have your own definition of what each generation is, ours consisted of the following: Black & White Era, Territory Era (up until about 1984'ish as that could be argued as well), Golden Era (starting when Hogan won the belt from the Iron Sheik, another reason our "Territory Era" ended in '84), Attitude Era, and then if any stars of the Ruthless Aggression Era or Reality/PG Era apply (i.e. Edge for instance...yes I know some will argue his "era" would be in the Attitude Era..quite simply, you're wrong, lol).
At least 1 tag team has to be inducted each year!! The fact that there are only 5 teams inducted at this time is beyond ridiculous! (Demolition and the Fabulous Freebirds are STILL waiting on that phone call!!) It was discussed about at least one personality (announcer, referee, manager, valet, commentator etc.) but never had a final ruling on that I guess, lol. I think it would be a great requirement of each class if at least had one of those kind of people inducted each year.
Couple more things brought up was the Scott Hall/Razor Ramon idea of inducting. Hall obviously made the bigger impact as "Scott Hall", so like his counterpart Kevin Nash, just induct him/her once as an in-ring personality unless of course that individual is inducted as part of a tag team and/or a stable (example: Bret Hart could obviously be inducted again as part of the Hart Foundation tag team and as part of the Hart Foundation stable). We also agreed that a performer who is living should NEVER trump a deceased inductee who should top the bill as the "main event" inductee just because you want a live acceptance speech from a living being to close out your 3 hour network exclusive show (example: Kevin Nash going on last this year over Savage). Accomplishments should always go over whether or not a person has passed. That's another thing while I'm on that, there shouldn't be a time limit on a persons speech (let's dismiss Mr. T. from this yea? lol). No one getting inducted should ever be counted down to the end of his "segment". Irritating for me personally! :-P
Last but not least, we would like to see that they induct a match each year. A match that has stood out for all the right reasons or that has transformed the business for the better. Pro wrestling isn't like any other sports H.O.F., matches make this business stand out as well as the characters so those that are on everybody's top ten list of greatest matches of all-time should be considered for the hall.
So, with all of that said, and no..a number of how many people who could be inducted wasn't determined, how would your next class look? What would you like to see for requirements for each year here going forward?
Here is what my class would be based on everything above (EDIT-Forgot my pick for match to be inducted)
Lou Thesz Dick The Bruiser King Kong Bundy Demolition "Ravishing" Rick Rude Jimmy Hart Sting Owen Hart Brian Pillman "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat - Wrestlemania 3 Intercontinental Championship match
Thoughts/opinions are more than welcomed. Just please no arguing. What do YOU think? God bless!

I think your ideas are all great. And your HOF list are all deserving to be inducted.

The problem with the Hall of Fame classes is there is A LOT of older guys that need/should go in. Im talking about guys from the Hulkamania era and before. The problem is the majority of wrestling fans now dont know anything past the Bandwagon Era (what's commonly referred to as the Attitude Era). They assume Rick Rude was just a Tom Selleck look-a-like that walked around with Shawn Michaels. You've got guys like Rick Rude, Lex Luger, Demolition, and Miss Elizabeth that should be in but then you get these kids that are like, "ZOMG when da Hardyz goin in de Hall?" So we get stuck getting 1 old school guy in and then a bunch of guys who just retired like 10 years ago or less.

2016...
Undertaker Sting Jushin Liger Rick Rude Demolition
You have co-headliners, a Japanese legend (who will have wrestled for the WWE banner by then), one deceased name, and a cool tag team.

I would really prefer putting in Crusher along with the Bruiser, both as singles competitors but I felt I had to make room for people who would be a bigger name to fans of the past 15 years or so. I do get that they have to have to appeal to every generation to the best of their ability since it is such a spectacle now days. I'd love to put in guys like Bam Bam Bigelow and Luna Vachon, the Fabulous Freebirds and Baron von Raschke but I went with a better appeal of fans of today. I guess the people of the mid 60's-late 70's probably got mad at me in the 90's when I would refer to the Hogans and Pipers and Savages and Steamboats and Beefcakes of the world and never mentioned any star of their generation know what I'm saying? And let's face it, kids of today have zero idea who Magnum P.I. is dude, lol.

Rick Rude is a big one for me. I'd like to see that happen next year. The Freebirds are a no brainer in Texas, it's time.
The HOF is a total wildcard though. WWE just goes with whatever pops into their head as the time approaches. With WWE on good terms with Bret, and the Owen Hart DVD coming out in December, and HHH likely spearheading the whole deal, I'd be 1000% in favor of getting Owen into the HOF asap. That was like the Scott Hall deal where if everything kind of lines up for that time then just do it so it happens.
There are plenty of guys out there you could make a case for right now. I'm more inclined to not guess and just react when WWE makes the decision. Macho Man was a big, giant, omission and they got him in there this year. So I have to think WWE is somewhat aware of the talent that should be in the HOF, albeit as much a political decision as a historical one.

I don't know about King Kong Bundy.....Except for "The Colossal Jostle" and Wrestlemania 2, Bundy really didn't do anything that important. And WM11 Undertaker vs. King Kong Bundy was one of Undertaker's worst Mania matches.
One Wrestlemania Main Event doesn't make you a Hall of Famer...if that's the case, then Miz is a shoe in because he defeated JOHN CENA to retain the WWE Title at WM27!
But I guess if Koko B. Ware is in, everyone should get in, lol.

The problem with the Hall of Fame is how few real headliners are left. Rock, Cena, Undertaker, Sting, Bryan, Triple H (and/or DX), Orton, Batista, Jericho, Big Show, Goldberg, Kane, Mysterio, Punk. Maybe the Hart Foundation. There might be a few others, but that's about it. And a bunch of those guys are still active or were recently, so it's a bit "meh" for them to headline a class soon. Big Show or Kane primarily.

...Here is what my class would be based on everything above (EDIT-Forgot my pick for match to be inducted) Jimmy Hart... You do know that Jimmy Hart was inducted in 2005, right? AND that Mattel is currently working on a HOF Series 3 Jimmy Hart figure (in which a prototype was already shown of him at SDCC 2015) . . . I'm just pointing out, due to the fact that your guidelines state that you wouldn't remove any current member of the HOF and the title of the entire topic refers to FUTURE WWE HOF class inductions. Hence, did you remove Jimmy and decide to include him yourself, or just not realize he is already in there hahaha not bein' a jerk just bustin' yer balls over a small flaw!

Ok, so what had happened was....yea I got nothing, lol. Huge oversight by me man. I actually did know he was in just apparently had a brain fart of epic proportions lol. Thank you for pointing it out. Apparently everyone else that read it didn't catch it either. :-P Would love to see that prototype though! Must've missed that. I'm not on here as much as I would love to be, sadly.

Ware is in, everyone should get in, lol. Trust me when I say that my reason for wanting Bundy inducted isn't solely based on his match with Hogan at 'Mania 2. A bunch of performers are in the hall that have done about the same, if not less, than what Bundy has done. And I also never stated that all 'Mania headliners should get into the hall either. Pro wrestling is made of of more than just career achievements and/or title reigns. For me and a bunch of others it is made up of moments that you never forget and larger than life characters that leave an impression on the business. Big John Studd really only had a program with Andre and won a meaningless Royal Rumble and he was inducted right? For me, Bundy has just always stood out in front of others. When he would walk to the ring with the "Brain", he was larger than life to me. His squashing of Little Beaver at 'Mania 3 is probably one of the top 3-4 moments of that entire show that people still remember to this day. He was beyond a formidable opponent for Hogan at that time he did wrestle him. The guy, by all accounts I have heard and/or read was well respected by others in the business. And as far as his match with 'Taker, Snuka and Bossman put on two ugly matches with the guy as well and one of those guys is already in the hall with the other more than deserving of being in. I promise I'm not trying to argue with you either so don't take anything i say as me getting testy. Feel free to respond though man! See, but that's kind of my issue and by the sound of things, others issue as well. there are a lot more than that that could headline a Hall of Fame class. While I obviously agree that the majority of the people that you listed are indeed headliners, none of them are really from the year 1990 or before. (Yes I'm aware that Sting wrestled before that as well as 'Taker but their impacts weren't felt until later) I don't know, a ton of old timers and legends to me could easily be considered the "headliner" of any year. And of course the Hart Foundation could be an easy headliner! Same could be said for the Freebirds or Demolition. I also agree that it is way too soon for about 96.5% of your list, lol. I was gonna add my thoughts, but wow, this was really well done. I'd add Vader and Bulldog to that list and space everyone out over a few years, but that's really it. A+ post mate. Thank you man. I try my best to type out all of my thoughts and to make it as thought provoking as possible and as professional sounding as possible. But yes, in the next few years, if Vader and Bulldog are not inducted, then there is something terribly, terribly wrong! Thanks again!
