While it was happening in real time, did anyone think it was odd that for the first time ever, the announcers were noting that Lesnar's shoulders were on the mat when he locked in the kimura lock at the end of the match?
They never note the shoulders being down, yet, because it served a storyline purpose, the announcers were already yelling at Lesnar's shoulders being down before the lock was properly applied. I now know they wanted to setup the angle, which is why they were bringing it to our attention, but it was one of those "why are they making this a big deal now? ... OH NOW I SEE." They like to hit you in the face with a mack truck to foreshadow things instead of letting the audience get there themselves.
Same goes for Stewart and Rollins. When John Stewart came out, it was like David Arquette's heel turn all over again. You could see who he was planning on hitting a mile away, yet the announcers were playing this up as the second coming of Hulk Hogan's heel turn.
I get it. It's them trying to make do with a bad situation or bad acting or whatever. But they aren't believable and their announcing gives things away all the time. Granted it's hard to do with a scripted sport, but maybe it was better when announcers didn't know the finish?

With Cena/Rollins, Stewart kind of played his hand too early and I think the announce team was trying to cover for him.
As far as Taker/Lesnar, I would imagine they had to be aware of the finish and so they were calling attention to things to try to help the fans out. It didn't really work, because Brock's shoulders were never down when they were harping on it. It's actually sort of hard for his shoulders go down when he's got the Kimura locked in because his (I believe) left arm is raised above his opponent's body, lifting his shoulder up.
