This is not an attack on Charlotte's looks. I just noticed something.
In every match on the main roster where she's either "messed up" (if you believe the Smackdown report where she was NOT supposed to be pinned by Fox during the tag match) or where the crowd has been rude (Raw 8/24), there's always a shot of her looking like she's going to cry. Last night, when she was sitting by the steps, the camera cut to her and then cut away as she seemed to be visibly upset.
I'm not saying that she shouldn't be affected by her performance or the fans. I think that's good as it shows a passion. Also, I know there have been other instances where wrestlers have cried (Trish Stratus after that Jackie Gayda match), but does Charlotte need to grow some thicker skin so to speak?
It's one thing to be angry at how the fans turned on the match as soon as the bell rang (i.e., Bellas, Paige), but it's another to let it alter your behavior in the ring. I fear that if people really start picking up on this, it'll either be turned into a gimmick or the fans will really let her have it.

I assume it's her makeup after she's been sweating during the match. Becky has looked like she's gonna cry a few times but I guess it's the same thing.

I think the way the fans were acting gives ol' Chic Flair every right to be upset. Though she's not my favorite in ring diva, I respect her passion for wrestling.

She has cried quite a bit on NXT. Honestly, all three of the NXT call-ups have shown tons of emotion at various points over the last couple of months with all that has happened. Hell, they all cry every time they face each other and have these amazing matches together.
Charlotte just wants to be perfect, from what I gather. So she probably beats herself up when it doesn't go exactly as planned, like Macho Man choreographed perfection it seems. I'm totally fine with it. She's still learning and she's going to have struggles, and performers being emotional about their performance isn't going to hurt anyone, or largely be noticed/remembered by that many people anyway. I mean we're talking about a woman who wants to genuinely main event WrestleMania. If you don't think she holds herself to a higher standard than the audience then you're crazy.
Ultimately, we don't want it to become a gimmick deal like Big Show, but then that's not something I'm worried about. Charlotte has her character and because of her athleticism within that division, and quite frankly her pedigree, she's not going to be turned into Naty with a fart gimmick, if that's what you're worried about. I think HHH seems to take to Charlotte more than any of the other Divas, and I think it's obvious why.

If I was in that position, I'd be upset too. My point is though is that as a wrestler whose job is to perform in front of millions of people, she's going to have to be ready to face a sea of hecklers. I personally have not been disappointed with the matches. It hasn't all been 3 on 3s (In fact, I'm 99% sure that this was the first Raw 3 on 3)

And to a point I agree. But as I said, those fans were acting overly rude and I can understand why she would have been affected.

Maybe the fans will start taking Charlotte more serious when she stops going out and acting like Ric Flair the entire time. I hope for her sake she didn't carry on that way in NXT and that's why she got so popular on here. That Flair garbage has to go now that she's on the main roster or she'll never have any sort of character of her own.

Every once in a blue she would bust out the Flair flop but that was it.

Although you know what? I wouldn't be surprised if Vince was the one wanting her to be doing all the Flair stuff out there.

I know there are examples to the contrary, but lately it seems like every pedigreed piece of talent they get their hands on is written to forever live in the shadow of their parents, rather than be allowed to go out and stand on their own two feet. Even when it's something as subtle as a nod in their entrance theme, something like this is always going to force the comparison, and when that exists, there's often times just no getting out from under it.

In WWE Universe, it's either a full on homage (Ted Dibiase, Jr. "Priceless", Curtis Axel "Better than Perfect", Charlotte) or a complete rejection (Stardust, Goldust, Cody Rhodes) or a non-reference (Husky Harris/Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas). I have yet to see the first succeed on any level until they left the gimmick (Dibiase Posse, Axelmania).

I'm not surprised that Trish Stratus cried after that match with Jackie... You all complain about Eva look at Miss Jackie when she started.

That was Naomi not Alicia and it was Becky's first up involving a finish in a match. As for Charlotte being emotional I've not really noticed her being angry but of course she cries after hard fought matches. Tears are good every now and then but most people need to be better actors and not make ed up endings to matches look so damn obvious.

I'm pretty sure she's just acting.....Paige cried after how many losses to Nikki Bella? A LOT. Paige constantly losing and crying and failing was what (kayfabe) caused the "Divas Revolution" to start.
Charlotte was probably "upset" because her team has just lost to Team Bella last night on RAW....not because she was reacting to anything the crowd was doing or saying.
I think it's all just part of the storyline. Nikki Bella said wins and losses don't matter as long as she's the Champ, but to PCB, wins and losses DO MATTER.

I'd cry to if I had to pretend the Bella's were better than me all the time.

To be fair Jackie gayda barley wrestled she was mostly a valet who wrestled occasionally which is something Eva Marie should be doing.Jackie was part of an era where Women like her was allowed because she was the type of diva to be used in bra and panties matches,Bikini Contest and all that other T&A stuff While the more talented women competed for the womens title. But with all that T&A stuff gone they have no choice but to get better in the ring.
