I don't think he's very good either. But it's to the point where everyone knows(Hardcore and casual fans) that he will be one of the top 3 superstars of the next 10 years. I say top 3 because I truly think HHH intends on pushing Rollins as the #1 once he gets majority control of the main roster. People seem to have just accepted the fact that Reigns is going to be a full blown main eventer and try to make themselves think he's getting better. I, like you, don't know where these people are seeing these big improvements. Maybe a little bit in the ring. I think Reigns improved a lot from, say, this time last year to Wrestlemania season. He also had two very, very good matches in that span of time (vs. Bryan, and vs. Lesnar.) Since then, though, he's done very little of note, and I'm not just talking about his booking. They've very clearly been trying to leech Ambrose's popularity in the hopes that his endorsement will get Reigns over, but in reality, it's done little more than make Roman complacent and regressive. He's back to being the Shield guy - the one who gets some hot tags, hits his spots, and gets the pinfall while the other guy(s) do(es) all the work. It's not doing him any favors. With so much talent out there and such a lack of connection for Reigns, I'm not so sure the "top guy" thing is going to work anymore, and even WWE seems to have cooled on the idea substantially in recent months. I certainly think the desire to build Roman up is still there, but at this point, I don't see it being met with anything other than major resistance (again) unless he he gets a good heel run in and gives the fans a reason to respect and appreciate him. No offense, but what was so great about the match with Lesnar besides Rollins cashing in? I wouldn't even call it very good, let alone very very good. It was decent for what it was. Reigns smiling during his ass whipping came very close to ruining the whole match. His comeback was good even though all it was was a bunch of superman punches. As for the Bryan match, yes it was great, but say what you will about taking two to tango, Bryan was the best in the business at the time; you couldn't have a bad match with him. Maybe Reigns played more of role, there is no way to tell since everyone will rightfully attribute the match to the best on the business. Sorry, but I'm not convinced. that said, since they've scaled back on making it the Reigns show his weaknesses have been far less noticeable and the crowd are getting behind him. Just to call a spade a spade, yes, Ambrose is helping. I mean come on, at its worst Reigns was being pushed stronger than Cena to the point of it being laughable. I don't think it's all him, the booking is making a big difference.

You could clearly see Ambrose trying not to acknowledge it, but Roman wouldn't have any of that lol.

I don't think it's all him, the booking is making a big difference. I think we're just at different ends of the spectrum when it comes to Reigns, which is fine. I don't disagree that his match with Lesnar wasn't a traditional "good match", but it had a lot of elements that I really enjoyed, and I think a lot of other people felt that way. It was hard hitting, it showed off what little Reigns was doing well at the time, and it was very exciting. This is coming from someone who was vehemently against that match from the day it was announced to the moment they were coming to the ring. I just ended up enjoying it. I'm not seeing any resemblances of the brief flashes I got from him around that time anymore.
