Video of the possible injury.
This doesn't sound good. I hope Cena isn't injured and that this was just a false alarm.

Stop doing the Code Red if you cant do it properly John. Dear god. QFT! I don't understand why he does it if he can't do it right.. Same goes for his horrid botch springboard stunner.

He's literally done the code red right like only one time. If he wasn't injured in this instance then its bound to happen eventually.

Owens is kind of to blame. He should NOT have gone down like that.

Looks like he panicked and held onto Owens legs too long and pulled him down onto him. Hope he's okay.

I imagine this would be very bad for Owens if Cena is injured.

Stop doing the Code Red if you cant do it properly John. Dear god. He did it perfectly fine on Cesaro, that one was pretty amazing. Owens is the only one I see him have issues with, doing this move. I think it's equal part the person he is doing it on to be strong enough and not lose balance.

Owens cannot help if Cena cant preform basic moves. You call divas sloppy yet I only saw Melina botch the flip pin 4 or 5 times out of the tons of times she did it.

I do agree though that John may not know how to perform the move to the best of his ability. He may want to give it up.

The last thing you want when you've just had your nose rebuilt is Kevin Owens shoot banzaidropping it.
It's stupid to even be doing that move on a house show, but it is the biggest drawing house show feud in a while so I guess they want to pull out all the stops in the matches.

Didn't know if you were targeting a specific person with that or just talking about people in general. Sorry for the interruption. You may now go back to the topic at hand.

Having watched the clip several times now, its hard to really see where to point the finger. It does look like Cena holds on awkwardly which leads to Owens losing balance then falling back on him... but they did seem to have a balance problem when doing it at MiTB which might indicate a problem between Cena's weight and Owen's strength. That said, they pulled it off really well at Battleground.
It just looks like an honest botch either way.. probably something they should have removed from their routine, but they've done it well in the past and when matched up against each other they break out a lot of fun and interesting moves. They have great matches against each other, so it would be a shame if something like this leads to fewer matches. The feud has felt really honest, so kudos to both workers.

A Code Red is far from a basic move. Yeah you're right. However, if he's supposed to be the best they've got etc. He should be able to do that move...

Owens is kind of to blame. He should NOT have gone down like that. It's hard to not lose your balance when a 251 pound gorilla jumps on your back the way he did. That's why it's a move cruiserweights do, is because it's easier to maintain your balance and even then, they usually initiate the move much, much cleaner than Cena did here. Also a lot of the move is on the guy doing it being able to push back up off the mat which didn't happen here either. It looks more like Owens thought Code Red, Cena though weird sunset flip... That being said I'm a Cena fan so I hope he's alright.

Nobody wanted to get hurt. Nobody is to blame.
Moves go wrong all the time, it's just injuries that highlight the botch if it's that bad. I hope Cena is alright, it looked to me as if they've not given themselves enough space for the move between themselves and the ropes, and panicked at the last possible second.

Just a bit of direct contact with the sun, and I believe he will regenerate and heal like everyone from Krypton.
