Well, I wasn't planning on heading down to Baltimore on Labor Day to go to Monday Night Raw..... but, I read that Sting was going to be there.... I did something I've never done before - I began looking for tickets the day of the event.
The pickings were slim - mostly nosebleeds, not good for taking pictures (one of my favorite things about going to a wrestling show). I'd always heard that they sometimes opened up new seats a few hours before the event..... once they get their production stuff figured out..... so, at about 4PM Monday night, I started checking..... since I didn't have anyone to go with, I just searched for 1 ticket.
Wouldn't you know it - a seat popped up on the lower level! Row B! Should I, or shouldn't I? This might be my only (last) chance to see Sting live.... but yet, I have to be at work at 5:30 AM Tuesday morning..... would it be worth it?
You know I jumped on that.....
I went to the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore back in May for WWE Payback, with some friends.... while I was lukewarm on the event itself - I fell in love with the venue. I found it easy to navigate, not hard to get in/out of..... I was initially worried about parking, but the adjoining parking garage proved to be a GREAT choice.... you just walk in through a side door, no line, and you are in the arena! I love it....
I also loved my seat for RAW..... right behind the production booth!
This was going to be great!
What is that on the control panel? I couldn't read it.... so I used my resources..... zoomed in with the camera.... snapped a shot..... I discovered that it was a genuine RAW run sheet! So I pretty much knew what was coming up for the whole show.....
In case anyone's interested, I'm listing who produced each segment with the photos that I took!

Here are a couple of bullet points on my experience at this RAW.....
* HUGE disappointment that Sting did not appear for the live crowd.
* Since I saw the run sheet, I kind of prepared myself for the fact that he would only be appearing via TRON... so I wasn't as mad as I might have been....
* The Ambrose/Reigns VS. Ascension match was a lot of fun live! I don't know how it came off on TV.... I love the Baltimore crowd, they are a lot of fun!
* During the ladies match - someone behind be kept calling out a nasty word for women that starts with "C" and ends with "T"..... a fight nearly broke out when a concerned mother told them to stop doing it....
* New Day is totally OVER with the crowd! I don't know if you could tell on TV, but the trombone was being played over the loudspeaker... and the crowd was loving it! I think I'm finally getting on board with New Day....
* I did not see the loon who jumped the gate - I was taking pictures of the ring & wasn't sure why Cena had his arm out in front of the PTP.....
* Again, I have to commend the arena staff - even though I bought my ticket at the last minute.... I had zero issues getting in/out of the Royal Farms arena.... I had a great arena experience & I will be going back - hopefully taking my wife next time!
* Overall, while I was hugely disappointed by Sting not being in the arena - overall, I enjoyed the show.... it came off well for the live crowd. Maybe if I'd watched it from home, I'd feel much differently..... but I don't regret making the trip down to Baltimore!
Thanks for looking!
BONUS: Here's what happened after RAW went off the air.... it wasn't that spectacular.....
